schizophrenia or seeing dead people

Is anyone here diagnosed with schizophrenia? I have something called schizo-effective-tendencies (yes that's an actual diagnosis) And I've seen dead people, ALOT.  I know some people have this gift and some people don't. So I often wonder, how many people with this gift are labeled as a schizophrenia? I mean, I guess if they gave me some badass meds and a check, I wouldn't complain anyways, but society needs to broaden their horizons a bit.

Not everything is black or white........ there's so many things that our minds are not capable of explaining or comprehending......... thanks for the suicide bag link...... As for OP, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you have a problem but the schizos that I know that take their meds experience what's called a double edged sword. On the one hand they no longer have delusions and mental breakdowns but on the other they are rendered social zombies. My one friend goes completely catatonic on lithium but he takes it to stop the "abnormalities". He's decided to trade his social existence for a quite mind. His choice. They won't prescribe you any kickass meds. You're looking at lithium or seroquel at best as well as few other anti-psychotic meds. I was taking seroquel as a sleep aid. Shit knocks me the fuck out. At high enough dosages it'll make you hallucinate but it sounds like you don't need any help with that as is.

I've frequently been told that life comes down to your own perception of being. Your own happiness is dependent upon how you deal with the challenges you face. So, I guess this all comes down to you, doesn't it?

By the way, if that photo is an actual photo of you it's best to tell you that it's probably a good idea to leave any identifying information off of the internet.

And they aren't shifty at best? Not saying there aren't a few good ones but a lot get into it because insurance pays a whole bunch to treat psychological disorders.
