Easy Giant homemade Fried Cheez-It Patty (yummmy)
« on: June 22, 2014, 07:39:58 pm »
So one day I was making a grilled cheese sandwich using shredded cheese, and dropped some of the cheese straight on the skillet by accident and that's how I came up with this tasty treat!

You will need:

  • shredded cheese
  • pinch of salt (optional)
  • skillet or frying pan
  • metal spatula

Directions:

  • Put skillet on stove top on like medium high, let it get hott
  • Now grab you a handful of shredded cheese
  • place cheese in middle of skillet, making it a circle shape. Try to keep it at ONE LAYER of cheese or it will not form right!! Don't worry if all the cheese pieces arnt touching, most likely once it melts it will all touch.
  • Now allow cheese to melt, you will notice air bubbles or holes starting to pop up around the edges. Go ahead and sprinkle a bit of salt over whole thing if desired. Allow the bubbles or holes to expand to the middle of the circle, or almost to the middle.
  • Remove pan from heat, let cool
  • Get your spatula and scrape that bad boy off! It should be a semi-hardended dark orange circle.
  • This probabley isn't too healthy for you.... but if cooked right it tastes just like a cheez-it but better!

Actually, yeah. I know what you're talking about. I'm kinda torn though as to whether this would be nasty or awesome. Maybe some other ingredients like salsa would be awesome for it.

Time is always against you in some way or another.

nasty or awesome.

that depends on what kind of pan and oil you use.   if you use a general cooking oil its gona be bad.  but if you use butter with the oil from the cheeze it would taste alright i bet.

A lazier way to do this is shredded cheese on a paper plate in the microwave- it's a great easy snack.

I agree. This recipe looks disgusting and should elicit this exact reaction from everyone! I'll post a real recipe to counter its stupidity.
