There was a shitty stream of like half the album up for ages but it was a bad bitrate and had a bunch of shit mixed into it. The iTunes pre-release made it onto torrent sites a few days ago and physical media rips shortly after. It's officially dropped today though. So guys, first thoughts?
People have been generally disparaging of the Kendrick Lamar appearance but I have to say I disagree. I don't think Lamar is really that integral to it, but I love the track (number 5, Never Catch Me). I thought the following track with Snoop Dogg was a lot weaker. In general I'm not sure I'm not crazy about the stronger hiphop influence on this album, I'd kinda like FlyLo to keep that to his Captain Murphy releases but it doesn't ruin it for me. I think my favorite track so far is Turkey Dog Coma, it feels the most like something off Cosmogramma.
On the whole I'd say Your Dead! sits somewhere slightly above Until The Quiet Comes but doesn't touch Cosmogramma.
