I love Coffee, but I just cant handle it anymore for some reason. It doesn't effect me the same way it seems to effect other people. Most people drink coffee and get an energy boost and that extra pep.. I drink coffee and within 30mins I'm straining to keep my eyes open. It literally works better than a sleeping pill (considering I have mild insomnia anyways).. And I drink regular unsweetened iced coffee as well as plain black coffee... same effect.. for a while I thought it was the sugar that was making me crash, now I just don't know.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.

In certain people and people who have become so used to it due to constant exposure, caffeine will actually start having the opposite effect. Its rather normal actually.

That would make a lot of sense. I'd say my caffeine intake for the bulk of my life has been in the higher percentile vs. the rest of the population. It actually wasn't until after I cut off caffeine for the better part of a year, that I noticed the new side effect when I got back into coffee.. While I'm not completely devoid of caffiene in the modern day, I might consume a little coffee, maybe once to twice week.. But really, I've about cut it out completely.. I've really taken to Orange Juice as my go to drink of choice.

Other than feeling agitated and jittery if I drink a lot (and I mean a LOT) of caffeine, I don't get anything from it. Never has. A normal bottle of pop or tea or anything has no noticeable effects.

Also coffee and tea have the same caffeine content so be wary of that.

I've heard of this being the case for people with ADHD.  Do you have ADHD, by any chance?

I usually just have to take breaks from coffee from time to time so that it don't make me crash. If I drink it to much then I'm super active for a while then crash. But is its just sips here and there then I'm ok.

Here's that coca tea I mentioned.  Swear it gets me a little high in a very not-caffeine way, but you figure it's gotta be treated somehow to remove the vast majority of good stuff...

Guess it's from Bolivia.

Seems interesting, I will have to look for it... I loved trying new things to drink.

Mocktails can be quite nice for a non alcoholic drink that is not Tea or Coffee.

This is also how tea is made :

Kettle on, boils, water in cup, chuck in Tea Bag, Stir the fuck, Add Suger, drink, enjoy
A billion Chinese can’t be wrong: eat rice.

If I find that coca tea I'll give it a try. never seen it before though so I doubt I'll get a chance unless I order online.

I use to drink poppy-head tea.  That'll get you high.  Pupils super tiny, eyes extremely red, feeling all tingly.

Sadness, coca tea not legal in the US.
I'll try anything once, and twice to be sure.

Coca tea is illegal in the United States unless it is decocainized. So maybe some hope...
