They can post a picture of you and put in big letters  "SHOP LIFTER".  I'd avoid you.

If you make enough of an impression on them, they may share images of you with the local police department, and if more than one store does this, they might start an 'investigation' and attempt to identify the person in the images.  This is rare, though, at least in my experience.  Be aware that it has been over a decade since I have been in this line of work, so things may be different now.

I'm sure they'll at least post OP picture in the break room at that store and if they see him they'll "trespass" him, maybe get a license plate number(if OP even drives ).

If OP did this near his place of residence, it could wreck his reputation.  It's only shoplifting, so it's really not a big deal, but some people will point him out.

Update.

So I went back to the same store wearing the same clothes. I did my shopping and  returned my movies(@ the red box right next to the un-used register where I was earlier scolded at).

Are they just going to wait for when I least expect it? I'm kind of worried now.
