Use a proper magstripe reading program not the bullshit that originally comes with the msr, if you still can't dump the tracks shoot me a pm

should have done research before blowing $130 on a machine you don't know how to use.

why buy something you had no idea how to use ?

These two comments are basically pointless comments, and neither of you are proving anything by your trolling.  Obviously I bought it for learning and experimenting.  It was only like $120, so it's not really a big deal.  But it does work for some things, like my ATM card, so I like it so far.

I am using TheJerm version 1.78.  I can write the data(track1 and track2) to the cards that came with the MSR(the stripe on these are a bit taller than the ones on my gift cards and CC) successfully, but I can't write data to my Walmart gift cards without getting an error and, what appears to be, corrupt data.  However, the data can be written to other cards.

Could Walmart have somehow embedded a security feature that prevents people from writing to their gift cards?

Here is an idea: get an international credit card, get track 1 and 2 with your MSR605, send me the info, I write the info unto a blank card with my MSR605, I use the card, you report the charges as fraud, it gets written off as fraud, we split the profit.

pretty decent machines, the software that it ships with is ok to say the best but they work well and do the job
just remember, No Comment
