I've found diatomaceous earth to be very effective. Most insects don't care for it, so they'll steer clear of it. Simply powder it along the edges of walls where they like to roam and hope for the best? There's really no other way to do it without killing them or going near them.

Would you recommend it for people who have pets in the house? (AKA pet friendly?)

Yes! That's actually why I bought it in the first place! Look it up, some people even mix diatomaceous earth with their pets food to help digestion. You can use it to give your pets a dry bath, too. I'm not even kidding. You can breath it in, get it on your skin and eat it. So can your pets. It's absolutely harmless.

Yea I see what you mean... I read on one site that some people mix it with their cows feed so I'm def going to have to do some more research one it..Thanx

No problem, man. It's a very fine, granulated white powder. I live by the woods, some come fall (like now) the spiders and other insects are usually clamoring to get to somewhere warmer. I have an underground basement, too. So, that doesn't help the issue. All the same, I simply sprinkled a liberal dosage of it along the perimeter of my home (up against the house itself) and, all along the walls and corners of the basement.

It seems to be a pretty good deterrent so far, as I've used it last year and the year before - and, the frequency with which I notice creepy crawlers around my home has diminished.

Another reason some choose to add diatomaceous earth to the food of their mammalian pets and even themselves is because it clears gastrointestinal obstruction by tapeworm. While it does make the gut into parasite ground zero, that is no garuanteed that it will kill all. It will just clear the obstruction.
Wormers are still advisable because the nastier fucks don't stay in the gut for long.

Heartworm, fluke, pinworms. Ever known someone with a hydatid cyst?
I say known because you may not know them anymore. A timebomb.

If you can use a natural remedy as a supplement or tool then go for it, so long as you know the mechanism by which it works first (I give a dirty look here to people I've met in the flesh who advocate black salve for melanoma instead of visiting a clinic).  Borax powder in your carpet will destroy flea eggs and cease the reoccurence of oubreaks. Powdered talcum powder and aspartame will offer a one -two punch to ants in your cupboard. I'm not going to tell you how they work because I encourage you to do the research and familiarise yourself whenever possible rather than relying on internet anecdotes.

Humidity sinks such as silica gel products or dehumidifies *may* also contribute towards solving your spider problems in a friendly way that will encourage spiderbro to leave unharmed and find a more appreciative with which to live in symbiosis. 1983's disturbed air comment is very, very interesting. Dehumidifying methods are very good for mold, though which is something you should be far more concerned about than sharing your home with invertebrates.

I recommend that before all else is said and done, you identify and research the creatures in your home other than yourself.

What is the significance of this? Are you asking us to think about gluetraps from the perspective e of spiderbros mice ants snakes and preschoolers who might find themselves adhered to the gluetraps underneath our beds? Or do you wanted to think about spiders and other creatures as individuals, who happen to suffer from an existence in communicative isolation not unlike autism, leaving us with a barrier that must be overcome by learning to interpret specific behaviours of spider to in an effort to use these to complete communication. If it is the latter, I am unsure that spiders even have the capacity to comprehend a great deal of cause and effect - and thus cannot learn behaviour too misaligned with pure instinct or adapt outside of their primal pulls. Do you theorise that spiders might even have spiritual consciousness? Are spiders at agnostic through default or could they uphold the concept of a divine being and attribute indirect human intervention to such a being or force? What about Jedi spiders? Are ants atheists?

Thanks again! I believe that will def look into getting some for around the house. Also not like it really matters but I am a girl. :D
Living next to the woods I know what you mean! IT also doesn't help some of my house windows are broken and just covered with plastic until I can find replacements.

Consider what's inside and comes out of those spinnerets and you've got yourself a legitimate movie idea at least on par with Teeth.
