User privacy is all well and good and I respect it a lot. But when a user claims to have evidence of an offense through a PM that the supposed offending user sent them, The user who cried bloody murder better prepare to have his or her privacy violated a little.

The person doing this is apparently severely mentally ill, and in my opinion delights in evil, perversion of the foulest sort, and death.  There is no room for 'nice' in this case. 

edit - If you were at zoklet and read hc45's posts, you would have a clearer picture.  This is one sick transvestite fuck.  He is facing criminal charges, and wants to kill himself in court to 'get back at someone' who will be in the courtroom.  When you get him riled up he goes on and on about covering himself in feces and urine.... you starting to get the picture?  I mean, trolling is one thing, but this guy is for real.  He selected, collected, and distributed child pornography to your public site.  Can you go out and find cp and store it and spam someones site with it, right now?  Not to mention completely anonymously?  I doubt it.  This person knows how to find cp, selected which pictures to use, and forced them into our field of vision, and that means he has done it before and probably has quite a collection for personal use...Nice my motherfuckin ass.

We have to trust in basic human goodness if we don't want to become bitter, divisive and mean.  People who do get off on child pornography likely have very severe mental problems, and I would argue that those sorts of people are more in need of compassion than normal people.  A lot of them probably hate themselves and feel immense guilt over their feelings, and if we respond to them with more outrage and hate it's likely to just compound those feelings and result in worse psychological issues for them.

We're all human, and every single one of us has something ugly living within us.  But I believe in such things as rehabilitation and healing.  Maybe you disagree with me, but murderers, rapists and everyone cruel share more in common with the rest of us than they have differences.  If there's hope for you and me, why wouldn't there be for these other people?

There are never sides.  We're all the same, struggling to get along as well as we can in spite of our flaws.  I am defending them, but never their actions.  People are inherently good, but it's easy to lose sight of that.  Actions can be bad, and they often are.  Good people do bad things because they're confused, hurt, or broken.  We do need to give them a dose of society's light and bring their problems out for people to see.  Not because we should be judging or ostracizing them, but because it would be beneficial for all involved if we worked to understand what they were experiencing, why they were experiencing it, and what it means for everyone.

Problems aren't solved by locking them away and hating them from a distance.
