15 watt transmitter

anyone have any experiance with solid state low power FM transmitters?.    I once had an 8 watt FM 2 vacuum tube rig but sold it to a friend years ago.  Tube rigs dont have a PLL microchip and sound smooth but the RF drivers like to wander off freqency alot so im thinking these solid state half digital transmitters will be very stable but sound shit.


any ideas?

If it's anything like the stuff I work with, the analog input is going to need a very low level to sound even remotely OK, as it tends to distort quickly, at least for music. Talk should be fine, and the price is decent, and I'm not sure what else to look at.

For reference, I work with gear anywhere from 50W all the way up to 5KW FM, 1KW to 10KW AM, and 1KW to 120KW TV. My HAM gear is obviously not even remotely that powerful, and I prefer my tube stuff to my SS set.

Things are starting to take shape,  i am building a small rack to contain everything but i ran out of metal.
after i finish the rack i have a DVD player that plays CD's and MP3's so that will be mounted in the rack along with the power supply and small fan.   the space to the right of the transmitter will be a flat area for a microphone or something.

the transmitter has 3 inputs.  2 3.5 phono jacks in the front and left and right RCA input in the back.  turns out this is the upgraded "B" model,  this differs from the "A" model by having RCA jacks in the back.
