that synth route is incomplete, you need to methylate it with some ammonia, if you don't see obvious gassing (from the HCl forming) add bleach to basify until you do

The fumes that come off will be vaporized crystal meth (this is an exothermic reaction so some vaporizes) make sure to huff as much as you can!
