If u had to hammer the metal in in the first place it is doubtful you can get the leverage you need to get it out.  Only way would be to find a smaller piece of metal to hammer in and knock the other pieces out.  Use a mandrel caz obviously if you are hammering it on the ground the shit can't get out..

one thing i did when i had something like this happen to me was first i tried to put a piece of two sided tape on the end of another to extract it out but i ended up getting some gel superglue and using a wood stick place some on the end and let it set up some then use it or even a hot glue from a glue gun may work then if it gets on the piece just pull it off or whatever you do that works
