Someone please do this. Arnox, would it possible to put the hot topics bar vertical to the right like on &Z? Sorry to bring up &Z but it was a legit setup, and we could link to current IRC and TinyChat rooms under the hot topics. Seeing the hot topics on the top is messy and on the bottom is redundant. I want to jump into this board but the setup is pretty rough to get used to. I fully appreciate what you've done here but I've been meaning to bring this up since the merge. I think the sooner you make the forums easier to navigate, the better. More people will contribute. Further more I have some ideas on how to promote this community with original content. I can't get serious about these ideas until the board is squared away. :?

Although I got used to seeing the hot topics the way they are now after like 2 days but still. The &Z style (which was a clone of the &T layout) would be cool.

I got used to the different hot topics layout pretty quickly as well but the zoklet setup was definitely superior. Easier to navigate and links to IRC and TinyChat rooms are a bonus.

As much as I'd love to make it a sidebar, (and I looked into it too) SMF doesn't support anything to the side at all. Sorry everyone. The next best thing would be to put up a portal page. Those support sidebars but... That's the only solution really.

I wouldn't bother. While it would be nice, it isn't a big deal.
