Used to weigh 350. Now 180. I'm half the man I used to be.
Wish I had lost it sooner. I ended up diabetic. That caused my weight to nosedive. Having to eat properly or face the consequences of off the charts blood sugar levels helped bring it down too. No sugar. Few carbs. I cut out bread, pasta, rice, french fries. Switched to diet soda (yeah, it's actually worse, but I got used to it and I need at least one bad thing). Mostly I eat meat, beans, eggs and vegetables. I have the occasional bite of something sugary, but only if it's something I really, really am going to enjoy. Drink LOTS of water. I have a 1 liter water bottle and I drink three of them in a day, beyond the sodas and other stuff I drink with meals. Exercise is really important too. You'd be surprised how a little change can help. I walk to lunch. Round trip for me is around two miles. Easy to do on an hour break.
