Anything on NATGeo.. I love watching and learning about the complex relationships and sub-ecosystems that exist within this world. And some animals, are just so amazing with their peculiar qualities.. Currently watching (err.. listening) to an episode and there is a certain viper that produces venom that will easily kill a human, and yet a mongoose  1/3rd the size of a dachshund is immune to it because of a built up tolerance over time..

Thinking about that, it reminds me of people who use bee stings to help with a plethora of health issues and how after a while they build a tolerance to it. I wonder (and I'm sure there probably are) if there are just random everyday people out there who practice such things to build tolerances to.. snake venom.. bee stings.. ant stings.. ect.. Not particularly to achieve some sort of health benefit, but just because they can.. Its obvious that when practiced over time, besides personal tolerance.. it can lead to immunity being passed down through offspring.. Kids dont even go outside to play anymore.. with that in mind, humans are likely to become a shitty weak species that relies on its technology over real organic fortitude.

My parents made me go outside, and told me not to come in until it started to get dark.  I even had to drink out of the spigot.  It was fucking great.

My childhood was playing in a creek, and continuously exploring it in both direction.. setting up forts made of brush, collecting rocks ( what I presumed was fossils), digging may apple (thought it was ginseng.. I was a kid), and generally getting scrapped, bruised, cut, stung, dirty, and you know what.. I'm all the better for it. I loved my childhood, you couldn't make me stay in doors. And its strange because I do enjoy my technology as far as how much information it allows me to access.. but.. idk.. I'm pessimistic unless we curve this over reliance, or find a way to better balance our relationship between technology and nature.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.

The Wire
6 Feet Under
Deadwood

Didn't even have to think about that for 2 seconds, those are the best written and intently satisfying tv shows I have ever watched, there are only 2 or 3 more I would even consider putting in that class.

Can't believe no one mentioned Prison Break. Definitely the most suspenseful show I ever watched. A close second is Trailer Park Boys but that's more of a laugh fest rather than a serious show, definitely both are worth the watch.

If any of you want a great comedy to watch, you gotta check out "The League" on FXX Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. EST. They are already on season 4 or 5, but you can catch up watching the older seasons on Netflix.

Its very racy and very off the wall.....lot of sex and drugs subject matter, and no topic is too taboo. The sub-plot is based around a handful of guys that are really into fantasy football and all the mayhem they get into trying to beat each other in that endeavor. But that is really only an ancillary part of the episodes, more like filler/common theme between every episode....where each individual story is so raw and crazy its almost like a South Park come to life considering the zany shit these guys get into.

Dexter

Are you fucking kidding me? I'm generally not one to bag on someone else's opinion, but I'm calling bullshit on this right here. It was interesting for two seasons, then it shat the bed, and spent 6 seasons rolling around in the mess. All leading up to what is almost certainly the worst and stupidest series finale in television history.
I'll try anything once, and twice to be sure.

If you disregard the harbour season. I would rather have another highrise one.

Are you saying season 2 was bad...?  You need to rewatch man, season 2 is one of the highest in terms of writing and whatnot.  Fuck the people who couldn't get over the ghetto switch, Frank Sobotka was a fucking legend.

I too have been watching Hannibal. It's got a solid plot so far (just finished season 1), and how can anything serial killer related not hold one's attention? The show really makes me want to be a pro chef to boot.

I've been watching Damages recently, just finished season 3. It wasn't very popular, probably because if you missed a single episode, you're left with no idea what the hell is going on. Legal drama, with a surprisingly high body count. Amazing cast, just packed with award winners.
I'll try anything once, and twice to be sure.

Damages is a good show, it was pretty intense. Each season is a different case that's being fought. Pretty cool shit, plus my cousin had a small role in the first episode

It`s not terrible, and if it was a series on it`s own I would have liked it.
