If reality, which is right now,

were alive, then that would mean the past is dead, and the future unborn.
Well, I certainly have called the past dead,
but metaphorically.
Perhaps I've even called this moment alive.

Life refers to the response to stimuli and an innate utilization of systems of physical organic matter.
To be alive you have life.
