Outlander Restrictions (UPDATE)
« on: September 09, 2014, 09:14:47 am »
Due to the most recent posting of CP spam, I have decided on a new rule.

EDIT: I have recently gotten ahold of a mod that will let us set BBC permissions for certain users. So I have good news and bad news. First thing you need to know though is that the posts needed to get to Adherent rank has risen from 6 to 20.

The good news is, post moderation has been turned off. You guys are free to post without a member of staff watching over your back.

The bad news is that all Outlanders can no longer post images until the next rank, Adherent which takes 20 posts to get to. This may be increased somewhat as well if we keep getting CP spam.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience, everyone.

And so the lockdown begins. I think it's pretty lulzy that the utter incompetence of a majority of Zoklet's staff pissed someone off to the extent that they're now trying to destroy this site in the most risky and illegal manner possible.

Due to the most recent posting of CP spam, I have decided on a new rule.

I have lowered the posts it takes to get to the Adherent post rank (second post rank above the first, Outlander) down to 6. Why have I done this now, you ask? Well, because now, all Outlanders require their posts to be approved by a member of staff before they are actually posted. This measure will be kept until an unspecified date.

Also, all members who were Outlanders before under the old system will need to have a post of theirs approved due to the fact that the forum doesn't update the users rank until they post. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

How many days before a post is approved ?

It took 4 days when I reported a post for someone to get back to me.

As soon as a member of staff comes online to do it. I'm on here daily at least. And you're already approved so it's fine.

That's because I dismissed the report and later found out that the report was legit.

Seems like a lot of work for you guys.  I'm afraid it might be too much and you will get disenchanted and not care about anything anymore.

Just sayin'

I doubt there will be any huge influxes in site traffic anytime soon, so I can't imagine this becoming too much for the admins to handle. Six posts is a very reasonable number. Sounds like a good idea.

Youre going about this cp thing all wrong.  Forward the ip addy to any one of the various anti-cp law enforcement organizations and be happy in the knowledge that someone is going to have a really bad day in their upcoming future

This. You're looking at 1-2 roaches. When they're gone your job will be a lot easier.
