lol that's pretty funny.

and yeah it sucks, i tried to login today, but it wouldn't allow me to make posts. hate to sound like such a whin-o, but i'll never get over how much of a little bitch Zok is.

I got banned by Gun Lover because he's a major faggot but other than that.. the site is still up and people are ripping it so we gotta hand it to Zok, otherwise we would've been left with nothing.

The website is his, and he can do with it what he pleases. He owns it, and I find it funny that people get mad at him for doing what he wishes with his own property.

Sure, we've all put a lot of our time and thoughts into it, but in the end, we all knew we were posting on someone else board. It sucks that it's going down, but he is giving us the opportunity to save what we can.

FYI: this wasn't a hate thread against Zok, I was just letting everyone know that this was it.

Anyway, what about mmmmq.net---are you going through with this? If so, have you asked panthrax for help (considering he has a Zoklet rip)?

You can own a piece of webspace, sure, but you can NEVER own a community. That was zok's fatal flaw.. he thought he could. He was dead wrong, and we've just witnessed the inevitable and wholly predictable result of his (and the others') faulty thinking.

I was having second thoughts thinking the whole thing was zok fucking with us but went on a few minutes ago and, well... shit. Atleast a fair amount of quality people are still here, but the mindless dribble and shitposts is skyrocketing, as usual with every totse incarnation

I'm not sure if I'm still going through with the new site or not. I wanted to in the beginning, but there's just a lot of factors to consider.

Between my main company and my two side businesses I'm usually working 70+ hours a week, not to mention having two kids and wife. Not sure if this would be a smart step to take considering the decadence of this community.

I have registered a few domains, and built most of the website, just haven't made a final decision yet. Since most of the community is already here, I'm considering reaching out to Arnox about some changes. I'm grateful he's been pleasant through this transition, but I think the general consensus, is this layout and styling sucks(most forums don't compare to VB no offense intended). If he'd consider it, I'd be willing to give him the money to purchase a version of VBulletin and help him fund the extra hosting costs each month.

I like vBulletin 4 too (only problem is it's kinda outdated now in terms of security (but then I guess, SMF isn't exactly the most secure software either)) but I couldn't afford it at the time. We could switch but... Everything is already set up here. We'd have to go through so much configuration once more to get it up to a state I'd be satisfied with. So, if everyone's willing to wait for a bit while I set up the software and everything, we could do it I suppose. As to the hosting costs, they're all covered right now for the year so that's no problem.

If I could use financial help with anything, it would be for advanced DDoS protection. The DDoSing HAS to stop. Period. I am eyeing a lot of solutions to this but they're all iffy for now.
