One of the main problems with this overpopulation and why I think so many would die without electricity is because you can't find clean drinking water in the wild anymore.  Pretty fucked up, we dump our shit and piss into our clean bodies of water.  That is why water must be treated.  In the wild animals shit and piss into the dirt which replenishes nutrients over time and is how nature intended.

We humans wash our shit straight into our rivers, creaks and lakes.  Look at Haiti when it had the earthquake a few years ago.  They had a huge cholera outbreak.  It doesn't take a fucking scientist to figure out that you shouldn't have to boil fresh water in order to drink it.  How the fuck did our ancestors survive before they discovered fire?

But no, it is taboo to discuss population control.  God sometimes I think humanity is a cancer on the planet, a parasite that is out of control, an uninvited guest, an unintended byproduct of evolution gone terribly wrong.  If the planet could cry I think we would all be hearing it sob for how much we have fucked it up.

The prime function of an animal is to procreate and pass on it's DNA.  That is how we evolve and contribute to the world.  If you choose not to procreate, then you are committing suicide essentially and saying that you don't wish to contribute to the future.  Which means that technically, your opinion is worthless, because you contribute nothing to the world and your beliefs will die with you.  An aberrant thought in a blip of time.

You made no actual point as to overpopulation being a problem. You did highlight a glaring culture of waste and overabundance in the shit show that is America. All those things you listed, deforestation, co2 emissions, peak oil are all caused by greed culture. Innovation could solve a great many of those issues. Wind farms, solar panels that get better every year, hydroelectric solutions, GMO foods. All viable solutions if properly invested in. 

Being born in Africa has nothing to do with overpopulation and everything to do with being born in a shit hole with no natural resource and hoping to thrive there. Only two people could live there and still be starving to death. What we need is to start reinforce the thoughts of a global culture and not these nationalistic team sports we're entrenched in.
