I think I literally used the line "IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BUY AN IPOD, DO NOT PICK THIS ITEM. THIS IS NOT AN IPOD. THIS IS AN IPOD DISTRIBUTION LIST. THAT IS ALL. PLEASE DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE A CONSUMER. THIS IS FOR RETAIL PURCHASERS ONLY."

But of course no one fucking reads that. They see the iPod picture, they see the slightly discounted price, and they order it. And they promptly receive a CD with a list of wholesalers.

That post just blew my mind. *goes on Craigslist* WHOO HOO I just made a thousand bucks!

Yeah, I bet CL would still work decently for this. It's just really important that there is a picture and the title is sufficiently fuzzy. "iPods Wholesale" or something like that. It sounds vaguely like discount iPods, but it also starts to cover your ass on the idea that it is indeed a wholesale list.

Just make sure you don't meet these people on CL, lol. You'll get your ass beat.

Then explain how it's a wholesale list. Be very explicit. Then again, this was the strategy with eBay because the auditors would generally defer to the legalese of your ad description. And you could count on people making impulse purchases. CL is a little different.
