Range Rovers aren't that much better, they're certainly much fancier and possibly much more capable, but they're known to not have the best build quality, or at least be the most durable.

CL Mexican is trying to rebuild the Jeep. Which is kinda cool knowin' she'll live on, but because he's trying to rebuild and sell, all the cosmetics were a problem, so he talked me down to 650. Whatevs, it's done, over with, and somebody elses problem now

All the suggestions for parting it out to get the most money were correct. It takes some time to find buyers willing to pay for parts but as long as youre not in a hurry youll be good.

A salvage yard is the quickest way to get cash for it but theyre not going to give you shit. I know a dude that sold a $2000 car for $100 over a blown head gasket  the salvage value was at least twice the book value.

its a shitty situation OP, but at least its over with. take that $650 and get a bike off of CL, what you save in gas will make it worth it.
