You never can tell beforehand how a psychiatrist will respond to drug use. Some of them completely believe the propaganda, and some of them actually know what's what, and will give you a minimum of hassle over something like weed. Most will try to convince you to stop drinking and taking whatever you're taking, especially if they prescribe other medications. That has more to do with minimizing variables than anything.

Lots of people take drugs as a form of self-medication, try to bend their mind into a more pleasing shape. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it's a fucking disaster. I drink, heavily, during social functions, because it's (for me) a better anxiety treatment than anything I've ever been prescribed.
I'll try anything once, and twice to be sure.

they don't give a shit about drugs like weed etc.   they do care about drugs that mess with your head,   ones that blurr the lines between fantasy and reality.

LSD and shrooms come to mind,  salvia as well.

fuck no.

if it wasn't for the power of lying to a non-independent psychiatrist, i wouldn't be receiving 120 2 mg alprazolam tablets, 45 30 mg temazepam capsules, 60 2 mg of clonazepam, and a shit-load of immediate-release dextroamphetamine pills that's quite above the maximum adult dosage.

it took a little over a year -- but it was fucking worth the wait.

it's the reason why i'm a super-functioning dextroamphetamine addict.

They care about the drugs that interact with what they prescribe because what happens if Mr. DXM addict gets prescribed prozac or whatever by a doctor and dies from pulmonary edema brought on by serotonin syndrome , the doctor is liable for that if they don't know the patient history. You gotta think in semantics.
