Oral Indulgences / Re: Favourite alcoholic beverage?
« on: November 12, 2014, 10:27:39 pm »
Is anyone else a fan of mexican beers? Specifically Modelo and Tecate taste great, and are pretty reasonably priced too. Shitty IPAs  with too much hops and other artificially flavored "craft brews" are the cancer that is killing beer.
Hate to admit it but in summer i enjoy a corona or two with a slice of lime  :picard:
Corona being the only mexican beer available here... And it's far from cheap either.

Cop pulls me over for throwing a cigarette butt out of my car window...
Asks for all the usual shit
...
Cop: just doing my job sir.
Hades: I understand you're just doing your job.  In fact, so were the gestapo.  But I'm not the one who applied for it.

Got fined for littering, waved the settlement fine and asked for a trial.  Never heard anything further of it.

Head Shrinkers / Re: How to get drugs from psychologist
« on: November 12, 2014, 02:17:24 am »
Due to my recent onset of anxiety and depression, which I believe to be a consequence of my heavy heavy pot habit, my mom is scheduling some sort of therapy session. This will be my first time ever seeing a shrink, and I'm not really sure how they work. Is there any chance id get a script for Xanax or something in just one meeting? I obviously know to lie about my drug use, but is there anything good to say that makes him think I'm really in need of some medication? Do most teens suffering from anxiety get medication, or only in extreme cases?
A/ If you're looking to make something of that session, show your therapist that post.  Then have a nice talk about it.
B/ Convince him that you're constantly having panic attacks and that they mess up your life etc... Then gently bring up doctors or psychiatrists.  Get a referral to a psychiatrist and get your dope.  And in both appointments never ever suggest you know the first thing about pills or you won't get them.

I'd go with A if I were you but hey...

My appologies. I meant ofcourse to say "hardly sufficient".

The net neutrality debate hinges around ISP's and probably entertainment groups aswell allocating bandwith to the highest payer.  Thus de facto cicrumventing what makes internet free: the fact that no one "site" is more important than any other.  That's why the internet was invented: so that one russian nuke on a communications centre could paralyze or even significantly influence communication capabilities.  Or in today's internet so no government, corporation or individual can ever truly squeeze anyone out. Silkroad 2.0 is shut down but surely 3.0 is already in the making.  Piratebay and Kickass have all the proxies they can dream of... that kind of stuff.
I think in this case it's vital for internet to survive in it's current 'free' state that the net-neutrality law is implemented.  I think not implementing that law would open the floodgates for ISP's to start determining what you do and see on the net rather than you having the free choice from millions of other users and dettermining for yourself who will be the next Facebook, E-Bay or whatever.

Otherwise i'm quite in favour for keeping the .gov out of the net by the way.

I like how these predictable sub-animal scumbags always call something the exact opposite of what it really is. So when they say "net neutrality", they really mean "net un-neutrality".
I kinda fail to see how you come to this conclusion based on the letter and the text of the title II in question...
Unless you assume that ANY regulation from Any government = oppression.

Half Baked / Re: Who else drinks alone?

Does anyone else likes to drink alone besides me?
I completely, totally, wholehartedly hate it when other ppl (especially drunken ppl) mess up an otherwise perfect state of drunkenness...
Drinking is a hobby best practiced in solitude.

Seems like Obama (known hereafter as Obola) wants to regulate the internet under title II of the federal communications act. If you're informed on this topic, please discuss. My understanding is that this is the less onerous of the two competing outcomes in this debate but having no government oversight would be best and would allow the free market that exists today to continue for the foreseeable future on the intranets.
From what i dug up, I gather this regulation is there to keep the broadband broad and free for everyone.  Kind of like an anti-trust law IRL economics.
I think it's an awsome move.

Was walking back from class when I spotted the ground score lying on the corner.  I tasted it, it's definitely MDMA or some derivative.  Took it back home and threw it on the scale, it came out to .3 of a gram, capped that shit up.  Nice free drugs.  Anyone found any cool free drugs on the ground lately?
Tried it yet?

...

Also, I found $12 on the floor last week and bought kratom.
Did that stuff work for you?  I tried it a couple of times but wasn't all that impressed

I'm offended about this being a "Gentleman's Parlor".  Does that translate into this being an exclusive club for straight rich white men? :frown:

Gentlemen does not refer to exclusively wealthy, male, Caucasoid.
True wealthy caucasoid male gentlemen would disagree.  Furthermore, being a wealthy male caucasoid is hardly insufficient to be qualified a gentleman.  One has to have the breed and schooling too.  Some colonial peasant who finds gold among his cow's manure could never be considered a gentleman. The romans had it all wrong old chap.  Money does carry an odour, so a wealthy man can only be a gentleman if his serfs produce his wealth.

I would also like to propose to maintain a certain amount of ladylike presence.  Ladies afterall soothe the soul and provide much needed entertainment.

There's still time...  And btw. your friend got arrested, so HE's the failure.  A true evil genius doesn't get arrested while still doing bad stuff.
Having achieved the not getting arrested part, now would be a great time to start the evil-doing part.

Help & Suggestions / Re: Vote on a Thanks System
« on: November 08, 2014, 09:50:07 pm »
I think it's a good idea.  Regardless of calling it thanks or like or karma or...

But on a post to post basis, not just the OP or something.  Just a lil something to show a poster that you appreciated his/her post for some reason. If it's shown in a profile this could be useful i think (sets real contributers apart).  Then again: a good deed (post) is it's own reward so... not so relevant to me.
As for the % of total 'likes'... i don't really see the added value of that.
