From what I've seen, once SnB topics start hitting a forum, most, if not all, people there who actually know a thing or two about chemistry start leaving/ being very withheld. They can see the level of education in the forum has gone from knowledgeable discussion to "How can I makez my own meth so I can get uber high n rich" I know this is not a SnB thread, but it is a substantial indicator of the forum's actual chemistry knowledge level. I'm not a rhodium or anything, but I have enough knowledge to know this method is doomed to fail.
A prime example of the knowledge level of SnB'ers is all their references to how SnB is the nazi method. ANY SnB post referencing nazi's should be disregarded. The birch reduction reaction wasn't even discovered until 1944, and was reported by Arthur Birch who was working at the University of Oxford at the time. As anyone who cites nazi's knows, (or in this case probably doesn't), Germany and England weren't getting along real well in 1944 and probably weren't swapping science notes until after the war was over. Just to finish off this nazi SnB non-sense, the original report utilized sodium as the original dissolved alkali metal, not lithium(I've never seen a shake n bake that doesn't use lithium batteries).
