Games People Play / Re: What are the best RPG's on PS3?
« on: October 08, 2014, 10:56:33 am »
Not yet mentioned:

Tales of Graces - Good but soooo much dialogue and cut scenes.
Disgaea 4 - Good, very deep in structure and there's sooo much post game content, but the same types of isometric maps throughout.

I like the look of both of these, think I'll order Tales of Graces.

Planning to get back onto PS3 once I have something new to play, still on PSX in the meanwhile. I'm trying to complete Alone in the Dark: Jack is Back. It's one of those games I can't imagine anybody actually finishing.

Did you play Skyrim?

My friend has Skyrim I haven't played it before but he said we should do a playthrough sometime soon. I've played Neverwinter Nights I think that's the closest thing I've ever played to anything like Skyrim.

I've only played the fallout games, but I'm generally into emulation, currently playing stuff like Romancing Saga 3 and Chrono Trigger. What games should I look for on the PS3 that would inspire me to start console gaming more? I like turn based JRPG's more than D&D type games.

Anime / Re: List of anime you've seen

Sakura Trick

I was into it for like the first half but Haruka and just get over themselves and fuck, jesus christ. I realize that character development and conflict make the romance plot more meaningful but you have to actually have character development and conflict for that to work. Like who came with an idea and was like "it starts with the main characters kissing, and their relationship never gets past kissing". Why is yuri cursed with the most dipshit writers ever?

Sakura Trick is just more driven by fan service and humor than full blown realistic relationship development. I thought Sakura Trick was pretty awesomeas far as Yuri goes, I watch stuff like Is the order a rabbit thinking it could be more like Sakura Trick. Strawberry Panic is the standard I compare all other anime too though and nothing has come close yet. Yuri could be better, it's not like it's some niche obscure thing but it gets treated that way, like mangas that never get completed and anime adaptions that should happen but never will.

Better Living Through Chemistry / Re: Salvia
« on: September 18, 2014, 07:40:28 am »
I wonder what the health implications of smoking salvia on a regular basis from a young age are.

I felt broken on Saliva, trapped between dimensions and frantically trying to escape from whatever it was I'd fell into. I felt like my life prior to Salvia had just been one entire moment and this was something entirely separate. I was actually just flailing around on the floor talking nonsense, then I ran upstairs and eventually came back down hoping everything was back to normal. It took about fifteen minutes to feel confident I had returned to the same place in one piece, like I was expecting to turn the news on and find it being read by a lizard or something. Transported to parallel worlds.

So yeah, kids on Salvia.

I play guitar and used to make a lot of noise power electronics stuff. I just play guitar now, last thing I recorded was me and a couple of friends covering 'deathwish' by Christian Death before we stopped practicing.

A sounds of sanctuary release somewhere down the line could be cool.

You're damn right. I only ever smoke cannabis and that's as routine as breakfast for me. It's been about two years since my last trip, I think some psychedelia would help out. Need some decent time off work and a bag of shrooms I think.

I'd take the teenage angst over this heavy indifference and cynicism any day y'know. Life was more fun back then. Everything was more fun.

Compared to when I was younger I just feel like I have so much less to say. I feel like I've been through so much and don't feel any zeal or enthusiasm for anything anymore. Nothing can inspire me to disagreement or debate like it could way back. Everything has lost its spark. And all those things are at the heart of a good community. I think that was the start of me moving away from BBS.

Idk, I can't really explain it.

Didn't notice you really doing anything to preserve the "good times" by helping to drive the ICQ-lite-retards and the power-tripping kidiots back where they belong, so I guess you bought what you paid for.
Your aggressive approach will never work when you want to unite people.

Nah he's right, I feel sad to lose something I haven't actively supported for the past twelve months. It's not just &t or zoklet though, it's an entire ideal far removed from the Internet of today. I dunno if that makes any sense...
