Whoa, great idea, you fucking long haired, ugly piece of llama shit!

FORUM BANNERS!

That'll make this place stand out. Let's get Arnox right on that. A well upcoming four months spent, as we get members to contribute their shitty, autistic designs, then take a bunch of polls, and then ... that's it. Nothing else will happen. We won't get new members, and we'll just be stuck with a bunch of useless, autistic, eyesores at the front of each page that we'll remove via ad block anyway.

You're a genius, mash. A fucking genius. Kill yourself.

this is not a bad idea; the contests on zoklet were pretty fun even though someone saw my goatse gif and disqualified it.

Wait, do you mean custom titles? (user picked phrase under one's name) We have those although I don't have them active.

no, he means separate banner graphics for each subforum. on zoklet they ran competitions every now and then where users could submit and vote on new suggestions for each forum.

Oh I see. That would be rather interesting. But quite a task as well since we have over 50 sub-forums to change the board icon of. The good news is, I keep a big collection of awesome pics that I've found throughout my wanderings on the netz and I have pretty much everything from landscapes to miniguns to processors to gravekeepers. So finding cool pictures would NOT be a problem at all.

What happened to the site logo idea?

What happened to the site logo idea?

Last time I polled everyone about that, it was a massive no, saying that totse never had a logo and we didn't need one here. Just needed stylized text. But I suppose I can do it again.

That was half of the objection. The other half was that it just looked like shit, not "cool".

So, are you going to select some 'cool images' from your collection and promote them to the userbase? And if they are rejected is the userbase then going to have to spend a ridiculous amount of energy getting you to understand the images you've selected are not desirable?

Or is this going to be bit more of a democratic free-for-all where submissions can be made by anyone for a given forum and then voted on by that forum's occupants?

Probably both. I select the images. (won't necessarily be from my collection) They vote on what images they would like that I've selected.

But I'm betting you're going to tell me now what a terrible thing that would be.

God, you love playing the role of victim. I wish you could emotionally remove yourself from that post, and realize just how much of a whiney little bitch you sound like here. Just the fact your mind works that way...."but Slave criticizes some of my decisions, so he'll automatically criticize ALL my decisions"...is bad enough. But to publicly cry about it? Further proof of your lack of any social understanding, along with enjoying the constant "us vs. them" mindset that YOU'VE created in your mind.

Well that's not both then, unless you use a very selective definition of democracy; why wouldn't you allow users to present their choices, as well as yours, then allow everyone to vote on them? I don't see what benefits such a micromanagerial and exclusionary vote, via your pre-selected choices, would offer?

DaGuru has a point. I'm not telling you anything. I'm just asking you questions.

To put it simply, because I'd like to add some of my own personal touches to the site that I made.

Well... I'm thinking of a more serious picture for that one. Then again, this one would fit HB even more.

Well you should have just said that directly instead of suggesting the userbase would have a truly free choice. To do otherwise negatively impacts upon your already tarnished relationship with the truth.

I just hope that your choice of a roadkill pigeon for the site logo isn't indicative of your idea of 'cool'.

Tarnished??

Moar liek.....long ago divorced to the point truth has taken the settlement and alimony and is now comfortably living in the Bahamas sipping on Mai Tais while surrounded by a squad of Mandigo butlers.  ;)

Although we do have to allow for the fact this whole banner talk could just be an "experiment" in which case absolutely anything is possible.
