Why is this? I'm prescribed an obscene amount of ADHD drugs (108mgs concerta, 20mg ritalin IR a day) and rarely take a full dose. However, I take it often enough and will enough frequency that when I refrain from taking it to have a "cleanse day" I feel really anxious and have trouble eating. Why the fuck is this and what can I do about it? I was prescribed clonazapam for a while but never took it. Le pillz calm me down but when I don't take them my mind gets really racey and my heart beats faster and I look at food like its poison.
I take the following vitamins everyday: ginko, P-50, 1000icu vitamin c, bentothiamine, gaba, D, B multi, and another I forget off the top plus omega 3. After I take them I feel a little calmer but I still have dat anxiety a bit.
What do? Anyone else like this? Not a troll thread but it kinda seems like it.

Weird I have the opposite problem. My meds make super anxious when I take them. Its probably cause my therapist is shit though and misdiagnosed me

Best thread so far. Every time you get cocky and need to be put in your place I'll just link you to this thread. Awesome.

you seem upset

Not upset. Just amused.

It is kind of weird to get anxiety from not taking drugs that normally give people anxiety. A lot of my manic sounding posts are when I don't take my meds
dey dunt call me unstayble 4 nuffin!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
eating really sickly sweet sugar gives me anxiety sometimes too, not chocolate or coffee though
-
Stimulants can have a positive effect on anxiety disorders.
-
I think I've had anxiety my whole life but since it was always my point of reference it always seemed normal until I took something to calm me down
Its just existing at a higher frequency than most people and therefore becoming anxious when I feel I'm not in my natural high frequency state

doctors dont give a fuck about your...or anyone elses...well being. theyll prescribe you as many pharmaceuticals as they can to sedate people into a state of walking catatonia
the longer you take their poisons the worse youre going to be fucked up
learn to control yourself, including your mental functions and state of mind, on your own without using the crutch of meds. if you cant do this, take all the meds you want because youre weak and a failure as a human being and that will be your only recourse

yeah, I'm not chemically dependent on them and could go off them, problem is I'm in 2nd year uni takin 3000 level courses after getting my high school last year after being out of school for 10 years and I'm not used to the environment so they calm me down and help me focus. I try not to take them when it's not necessary. When I started taking them it was like "oh, I remember this feeling, this is how I should be feeling" and it's clear to anyone who knows me I have ADHD but it's not even a real thing like AUTISM but whatever, I really should be taking them to an extent but I def don't overdo it. I rarely take my other meds as well. I really hate taking things unless I'm positive their benefit is apparent, hence "do no harm"

ADD is real, the people who say it's not don't know what they're talking about and don't understand the actual science. They generally assume that it must be a scheme by the pharmaceutical companies, but just because there's some (large) influence doesn't mean you can assume the influence is 100% and every single drug is a scam by them, along with distorting and misinterpreting information, committing logical fallacies etc. The main ADD drugs aren't even under patent and some haven't been for a long time.

Why wouldn't there be genetic variation and dysfunctions in the dopaminergic system just like everything else?
-
Just dont take your meds. Why get rid of something that makes up you and defines your life

add is a myth. is an excuse for weak minded and weak willed people to justify their shortcomings
-
its not a myth, and its how you deal with it that defines your weakness I think
