I'm not very gun savvy but that thing doesn't look like it'd have much accuracy even at short range, I really have no idea though. I've been looking for a firearm around this price range for the purpose of break-ins, I know Walmart has .22 rifles for under $100.

what do you want to do with it?
check gunbroker.com for a price comparison

Derringers are for up close and personal encounters with for instance, a mugger, they're about the length of your driver's license and while I've never fired one, I'm assuming it would hurt like hell and be easy to blow a hole through your hand. I wouldn't expect to be able to fire this gun and hit anything more than 25 feet away.
Thats just from my limited knowledge, could be wrong, but I wouldn't want to shoot that damn thing. They are popular though, and have been since the oooold west.

Okay, thanks. Y'all should check out the rest of the guns on that link I posted. They're selling lots of guns for cheap. I didn't even know Walmart sold guns. I'm just looking for another gun, a hand gun preferably an automatic but those are around $600 + but I'm still looking.

Oh, and theres no better weapon for sneaking into the presidential booth at Ford's Theater and busting a cap.

How would a .22 rifle help out during a break-in? I'm just curious because I can see it A) getting snagged on shit and banging against the walls, and/or B) adding significantly more time to your sentence, I'm not being a dick, just wondering.

I'd use it during a break-in on my own property, I guess I made it sound like I was the burglar. Burglar with any kind of rifle would be comedically counter productive.

You can get a quality used SEMIauto pistol for $300 ton $400
Walmarts sell guns in certain areas plus they can special order ones that arent on display. They're the cheapest ive found anywhere. Tidbit of trivia: walmart is the largest arms dealer in the us

I got a pearl handled derringer chambered in .32 from my great grandmother it's pretty sweet but not the best defense weapon. I wonder if she was secretly a prostitute otherwise why would she have had one lol

Because derringers were more common and socially acceptable 100-150 years ago, especially for women...not just antique hookers

Cobra's not the best manufacturer, if you wanted a derringer type pistol, go w/ Bond Arms. Pricy but worth it. Something small in size and caliber, try North American Arms mini revolvers. Again, a little more expensive, but worth it if that's what you want. The price is attractive, but always remember, you'll get what you pay for, especially when it comes to firearms.

North American Arms mini revolvers...
yes, they are good. higher quality alloys, better q/a, and engineering

I also like the boot grips.

The fun than antique hookers could bring, I saw on the other day 76 and walking the beat.
But on topic derringers intrigue me, never had one at the range, Id imagine it's like any other point and shoot type of gun.

A Derringer is only good at close range. Beyond 20', you might as well throw it at them. And a .22 doesn't have much stopping power. Doesn't pack much punch either, so firing it isn't a big deal. Good for up close personal defense mostly. Gives you some time to get out of a rough situation as the person shot by it usually would stop to contemplate doing something else unless they're strung out on PCP in which case you're screwed.
-
Oddly enough most murders in the states are done with .22lr..... Niggers only use cheap throw away guns after all.
Something that would be fun just to piss people off at a range is to go in with 20-30 derringers consealed all over yourself and proceed to try to shoot them as fast as you could.
For the LULZ.

Fuck you auto correct.

Just get a Hi Point

For about $100 more, you can buy an old .357 S&W revolver (used and banged up, obviously) from a firearms dealer.
-
If you are going to shoot up a school I would suggest something else.

A bow by chance... Gun laws are shit as is and we don't need any more.

I know here in Canada you can get an SKS rifle for only $175 or an m91/30 for $99. you can also buy a combo deal and pay full price for a case of ammo (x39/x54R) and get the rifle for half price. cheapest guns in Canada ATM.
-
Why the fuck would you want a pistol that not only shoots a weak round, but only shoots two of them before a reload is necessary? For about $20 more, you could probably find an old Soviet-bloc Tokarev chambered in 7.65mm. That would be more than sufficient to save your life if needed, and much better than a derringer.
