This has been one area that I have always been very interested in. When I was a kid, I had some strange experiences which caused me to continue to maintain interest in, and research. I was just curious as to how many of you have had experiences, and what did it consist of?

I saw a ghost before but I've typed the story out so many fucking times I'm not feeling doing it again.
-
unbreakable matter's mother was objectively impregnated by an alien.

nah, an alien would probably be able to obtain steady employment

If that was a racist joke I tip my hat at you. That was hilarious.

one time when i was 3 i had a dream that my dog got crushed by a car. he didnt get crushed but he was dead in the morning :(
-
the ghost I saw was a nurse in a long white dress like nurse ratchet off one flew over the cuckolds nest. It was at a radar base/insane asylum that kids go to to spraypaint and be niggers at. This girl started freaking out first so I know I saw it and wasnt just halloosinaping
-
I used to see a strange shadow at a bar I worked at. It would seem to walk around in a circle-ish area but when I looked directly in that direction it would disappear. Many others have reported strange things occurring at this place as well, TV's turning themselves on, strange light hovering above the light over the pool table. There is even a pic where it seems there is a face in a lit up area above that lamp where there should be no light at all. I've never been one of those 'ghost hunter' types but there were just so many unrelated things that people have seen at this place to not at least wonder.
-
On multiple occasions, somehow the "veil" or "curtain" that obstructs our view of true reality was lifted and I could see everything for what it really is. There are some very creepy, stranger than fiction sort of things going on in this world.
-
I saw a heavy wooden folding chair slide sideways a good 5 inches one time.

Several, most of them self-induced.

I have paranormal experiences on an almost daily basis. It would not be so wrong to say the normal for me is para and the para for me is normal, but really its a big mushy mash.
I've experiences with God, gods, christ, buddha, fairies, demons, angels, giants, Santa(the real one), Satan, lucifer, elementals, and countless other beings of so many types and flavors and shapes and lights and colors and oh my everything you imagined and everything you couldn't ever imagine is real! It really is.

I have seen and heard of people legitly possessed... Not fun...

Nope, a lot of the most out there experiences I had were more due to the several months where I meditated for eight hours a day, the only drugs being a little bit of weed and some coffee. Although truth be told I feel like psychedelics can alter you permanently for life, so you could say ALL my experiences (paranormal or normal) were an after-effect of drugs.
Drugs only open the door to other realities for you, they aren't they realities in and of themselves. Once they're open, they're fucking open.

The best experiences? The non drug ones?
Alright, tomorrow I'll tell you about my experiences with Shiva. right now I need to go pass out though. zzz. <3

I must also pass out. Etizolam, cannabis, melatonin. I'd add some magnesium glycinate and glycine if I had some.

Are you really a Mormon and believe the Mormon stuff?

Are you really a Mormon and believe the Mormon stuff?
Mhm.
-
No seriously. Are you?

No seriously. Are you?
Yes, seriously. Is it really so hard to believe?

Sooooo, you believe Jesus lived in the USA?

Sooooo, you believe Jesus lived in the USA?
We believe he came to the Americas, yes.

Why do the mormons have such extensive geneological records? Will they eventually be used as databases to purge certain races that the mormons find undesirable?

That's stupid. Your religion makes no sense and is for idiots exclusively.
Do you at least have multiple wifes?
-

An American Jesus for the American people. It's the logical conclusion of making him blonde and white I suppose. Not as original as Scientology, although the magic underpants are a nice touch; within the Christian religious sphere fetish garments are usually reserved for the clergy.

blonde and white
I thought jesus was a spic

Ha, sign of the times as Christianity's powerbase slowly moves from Europe to the New World.

Here he's a ginger. No shit.

I don't even know if I want to type this long, sort of prosaic story, but it is OT, so what ever.
When I was growing up, my mom had a friend named 'elaine'. I don't know how old I was at the time, but I was old enough that I would get a raging boner when I stared at her slutty mouth and curvy ass. She was kind of a whore, but that made it even more interesting. This one time I used her bathroom and her bra was on top of the hamper so I smelled it....fuck, back to what I was talking about. This elaine lady, her mom died.
The mom was very pious, a catholic if I remember right. I am not sure, but I am going to assume she was because most people I knew in youngstown were catholics. She was italian too, so probably. She died in the morning, and as the day progressed and the shadows started to lengthen towards evening, someone noticed that there were images in her screen door.
I know how retarded this seems, but word spread quickly that there were images of the dead woman and two other figures in the dirt on her screen door. You could see it when the sun hit it from the evening sky. The person who saw it called around, and all her friends and family showed up. Noticing the crowd, even more people showed up. By the time my mom told me 'you have got to see this' and we drove over there, a news crew was there filming.
I saw it with my own two eyes, this looked like someone had superimposed a picture over her screen door, but it was dirt in the screen. It was crazy shit. A perfect representation, almost photorealistic, of the deceased woman, complete with beatific smile, and over her right shoulder was a fainter yet still discernable image of a bearded man. Then over his left shoulder was a very faint outline, with features almost too faint to see, of an unmistakeable human-looking head. I still remember the screen in my head, plain as day. I walked up close and looked at it, it was really just dust and dirt in the screen door. I looked on the internet and through old youngstown vindicator archives and cannot find any mention of it. I even looked for her family last name with the searches.
-
Maybe that was made before her death.
-
idk, this was in the late 1980's and I would think it would be hard to do something like that, even now. It was literally screen door dust, you could see the dust particles if you stood at a certain angle. Plus, the reactions of the family seemed pretty real, they were all crying and doing wierd catholic shit like pointing at their shoulders and chest in sequence (they weren't, just making fun of catholics). If someone did do it, they didn't know about it.
-
Weird.
Did you fap while sniffing the bra?
-
afterwards.
-
In her bathroom?
-
In her bathroom?
fuck yeah
-
Nice. 8)

I wouldn't personally call my experience paranormal but I think some would say it qualifies:
I had a powerful hallucinogenic episode when I was in my teens. No drugs. The experience stemmed from chronic stress and depression. I went go into specific detail, but the experience was very warm and uplifting. I've never experienced anything like it before or since. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that at that very point in time it probably saved my life. I think it was a psychological survival mechanism kicking in. The 'paranormal' aspect of the experience was that it was very physical albeit without shape or form and involved people who where all dead.
And no, I wasn't a) coming out to myself as a necrophile or b) being molested by ghosts.
-
hallucinogenic episode
Visual hallucination? Auditory? Any other senses involved? If visual, were eyes physically open, or closed?
-

Eyes open. Sense of being being surrounded by warmth, light and pressure, the best description I can give is being hugged by sushine. I could clearly identify one of those present by this sensation, the others were joyously familiar even though they were unknown by me.
-
That is called 'having a fucking stroke'.
Nah I am just fucking around. I believe that wierd shit 'just happens' sometimes. I cannot even begin to surmise why.
-
I don't know if it's the same feeling but that "hugged by sunshine" feeling seems very familiar. A lot of my childhood felt like that and I got the same feeling on my first couple of days on Citalopram until it turned into a libido destroying anxiogenic.
"Sigh too deep for words"
I'll be using this a lot now.
-
speaking of familiar feelings....anyone else have that 'yearning', 'there is something more to life' 'something is out there, something important, and it is happening right now and I am missing it' feeling, usually in the autumn? I have had it every year of my life, but as I get older it seems to get fainter.

This thread is creepy. I never articulated the feeling like that but yes, that's kinda how autumn feels to me too. I love the melancholia of it, though. Parts of it. Also just ripped up old wounds... :'(

No matter what you say, nostalgia is painful.

They are used for baptisms for the dead. So those who didn't get the chance to be baptized in the church for whatever reason will have a chance to do so when they learn about the gospel in the next life.
Do you at least have multiple wifes?
Nope. Sorry.
It's the logical conclusion of making him blonde and white I suppose.
The church has no official stance on what Jesus looked like. And it wasn't just the Americas that he visited. We believe that he visited other countries besides that one.

Sounds like a pretty cool guy.

Ha, I know there is no 'official' position. There doesn't need to be when there is a cultural status quo with nearly two millenia of religious art behind it. And I was talking about western Christianity in general. I doubt the Mormon church depicts Christ as a typical semite. (http://www.donatoart.com/semitic.html)
And it wasn't just the Americas that he visited. We believe that he visited other countries besides that one.
"Much of the Mormon belief system is oriented geographically around the North and South American continents. Mormons believe that the people of the Book of Mormon lived in the western hemisphere, that Christ appeared in the western hemisphere after his death and resurrection, that the true faith was restored in Upstate New York by Joseph Smith, that the Garden of Eden was located in North America, and that the New Jerusalem would be built in Missouri. For this and other reasons, including a belief by many Mormons in American exceptionalism, Molly Worthen speculates that this may be why Leo Tolstoy described Mormonism as the "quintessential 'American religion'"."
~ Wiki.
Mormonism is an Amerocentric plagiarism of Christianity; carefully, or crudely, marketing religious beliefs to your target audience is nothing new.
-
I've had many direct paranormal experiences.
-
Do you at least have multiple wifes?
I never typed this, and cannot figure out where it came from. Damned mormon sorcery.

Actually, it should say that the Book of Mormon is centered almost completely around the history of the North and South American continents of which book is the basis for our religion. But I'm sorry you think it's nothing more than plagiarism. So, if that is all, I think I'll let this topic get back to what the OP was talking about.

I made a thread on zoklet about my witnessing of a aura surrounding me
lemme find
"Alright guys, this is a guide on how to see your own aura. Okay I'm just kidding but I feel like talking about an experience of mine that I had months ago, during my Psychosis. Though I was in my Psychosis, I know that this was not an hallucination. It was much too vivid.
I was walking down the stairs and I reached this mid platform in the dark, maybe some illuminated light from the moon shining down on the stairs. Next thing I know, surrounding me in a circle, arising vertically from my feet to my head, was a strange greenish red light. It was visible for maybe a second. It scared the shit out of me.
Months earlier I had felt my 6th chakra (third eye) tickling my forehead (LOLtumor) immensely, standing at the top of the stairs, right above the mid platform.
So I dunno, has anyone had any such experience?"
-
I've seen things that would make your nightmares weep.

How can one have a paranormal experience without drugs? I'm only curious because I've never had any type of paranormal experience while in a non-altered state.
-
Not a direct experience, but oh well.
My family is originally from NYC. We moved out when I was a baby, but my dad still works there and occasionally checks out the old neighborhood. Anyway, before I was born, my family lived in a shitty apartment on the top floor of a small building. My dad, out to lunch one day and just taking a stroll, decided to take a picture of the old place. He shows me this picture and points out the window to the apartment where they lived, and there's kind of a weird reflection on it. It looked like a father and daughter just kind of standing and observing.
Specifically, it looked like my dad and older sister. Except, as if they were 20 years younger, like around the time when they were living there. The man in the reflection was very slim as he was, and the daughter was a toddler, as my sister would have been. I'm not saying the images were clear as day. It was almost kind of blurry outlines with very vague features. Ghost-like, I guess, but still bearing a very uncanny resemblance to my family.
My father and sister are both still alive, which somehow makes this experience even more creepy.
-
One time my daughter called me at 3am screaming at the top of her lungs that there was a ghost in the house and that it had just attacked her boyfriend. I told her to get out of the house immediately and a cab would be there any minute. When they got to my place, the boyfriend lifted his T-shirt and showed me his chest and there was claw marks right across it in diagonal lines, and there were also diagonal matching rips in the shirt. I told him to tell me the truth and only the truth, and he swore up and down that he got attacked by some kind of partially transparent, smoke-like, ghostly creature which had rushed out of the darkness up the basement steps as he was looking down them to investigate strange noises that had been coming from down there. He was totally believable.

The explanation that extreme emotional imbalance caused my mind to fabricate a situation that deterred me from doing something life-threatening, requires a far smaller logical leap than saying a bunch of dead people sensed my pain and decided to come cheer me the fuck up before I did something irreversible.
I can't disprove the second scenerio hence the paranormal aspect of my story, regardless of my personal interpretation.

Every time I go into walmart...

That depends on what you mean by paranormal. I think telepathy is incredibly common for example. I have probably at least one semi telepathic moment a week. I look at it as communication stripped of as many semantic filters as possible, for one or both parties. It is basically the phenomenon of perceiving intention or emotion past the semantic or consciously telegraphed level. That is the part of the reasons why in some societies they wear protective amulets. People in some other parts of the world are often more tuned into the world past semantic filters. Like in some Arab countries it is considered very bad form to compliment excessively at a newborn baby. It is seen as laying an envious or potentially hostile intention on the baby, and can attracts the evil eye.
I take pretty much everything on face value. I don't see why the concept of the evil eye and the methods use to protect yourself from it is any less valid than shaking hands when you meet someone. If believes that they can get favors from gods if they sacrifice a bull and chant a little bit, I assume that they can. I have a harder time buying into things like astrology and talking to the dead though.

Let's keep this thread rolling
Can dreams be considered paranormal?
I've had two dreams that I will discuss
The first one, it was as though I was looking down my energy channel and I started to meditate. It was a conscious decision to meditate, though I was still in a dream state. I floated past these orange-red symbols and came upon a giant purple orb that came closer, elapsing my whole field of vision. In the orb I saw a giant looking purple elf, it looked like something from World of Warcraft. After I saw the elf, I said to myself outloud "I made it" (which is very rare for me, to speak in dreams aloud..it was a very conscious thing). Just as soon as it happened, I got excited and drifted out of the purple orb.
The other night I had a dream that I was in this realm with large shimmering red balls of light, it was as if I was being channeled energy from somewhere, a god, whatever. Something spoke to me and said I must return to seed. It then showed me a bright green blade of grass with red human veins on the end of it.

What the fuck, you have kids?
I was also surprised when I read that. I swear I never saw Spectral mention he was a father, although I never spent much time in PEOO. Who knows how much of his life story is bullshit.

Copy from Zoklet, edited for improvement:
1.) I saw a flying saucer go across part of my parents' backyard about 10-15 feet up, it passed close to the house and ended up going near a room and young walnut tree. It was about 2-4 feet in diameter, shaped kind of like this: -O-
It was silent and seemed to move straight forward, but at the the same time it also rotated and wobbled. There was no visible propulsion source. I ran to the door and yelled for everyone to come outside quickly, but when I went back to look it was no where in sight.
This was in south central Los Angeles. It seemed really well made and I doubt anyone in that area would be likely to design something like that, or purchase and use it, and AFAIK nothing like it was available at the time or currently. Light wasn't an issue since it never gets very dark in the city, and the neighbors may have had a bright security light on, I can't remember if ours was on.
2.)Sometime when I was in third grade I was at home, alone, and heard a voice that said, "The end is near." It felt like it was in my mind, like a telepathic message, and my reaction was to look up. There was no attic or second story. I doubt it was just a neighbor's television or radio with the volume really high. I've never had anything like that happen again and nothing traumatic or anything had happened during that time that could have caused mental instability.
3.) During middle school I'd get dressed in a closet and rest a bit before going to school because it started absurdly early and I really needed more sleep. Eventually I started feeling oddly uncomfortable in there, but I didn't connect why until later. The feeling's hard to describe, it's almost as if the air pressure becomes greater. I used to frequent the gamefaqs paranormal/conspiracy message board and got the idea of having my brother dress in a costume and posting a thread where I'd pretend that it was a genuine paranormal event. When I viewed the pics I noticed that they had some odd things in them:
Things kept showing up in the pictures taken of the closet, and it didn't occur elsewhere. I only kept the best ones. I thought it was really cool and was pretty excited about it. Here's another one:
Eventually nothing was showing up anymore and I noticed that another closet started feeling the same way, so I took a picture of it:
A while later it stopped and nothing happened after that.

YOU think all this paranormal and weird phenomenon is bullshit... then step into MY arena AND TRY THIS
get a mirror about 50 cm square.
fix the mirror tightly into a frame. like a thick wooden picture frame.
make sure the mirror is tight and strongly fitted, or believe me YOU WILL LIVE TO REGRET IT ...IT WILL CAUSE A MISTAKE TO HAPPEN A MISTAKE YOU WILL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO PUT RIGHT. SO DO NOT RUSH THIS FRAME.
Now mount the frame on a small table with legs about 25 cm high. make sure the mirror is on the top of the table. when you look on the table you can see yourself.
AND BELIEVE YOU ME, MAKE SURE THE WHOLE SET UP IS STURDY AND STRONG....OR YOULL REGRET IT.
NOW make your way down to a shallow running river. not a still river.
Take a BRAVE friend with you.
Both of you step into the river and hold the
one side of the frame each. with one hand on each corner.
now go to a depth in the river so that the legs of the frame are on the bottom of the river and this makes the mirror on the top of the frame about 5 to 10cm below the surface.
now take a few deep breaths and relax.
both you and your friend STARE INTO THE SUBMERGED MIRROR, AND FOR GOD SAKE MAKE SURE YOU ARE HOLDING THE STURDY FRAME TIGHTLY.
EVENTUALLY WHEN YOU BECOME MESMERISED WITH THE MIRROR, YOU WILL CEASE TO SEE YOUR OWN REFLECTIONS IN THE MIRROR AND THE REFLECTION OF THE RUNNING WATER, AND A KIND OF DARK SHAPE OF ONE FORM OR ANOTHER WILL APPEAR IN THE MIRROR.
This shape is an existing being, that is alive like you and i, but it is of a different form. it will be kind of dull, and looking at it will frighten you.
but stay and keep staring at it, because it is also staring at you. now if you or your friend gets really scarred, to the thing that is looking at you, it will see this fear as a vibrant display of one form or another, and this is very attractive to this kind of being, and then it will try and come out of the mirror to BE WITH YOU ...TO BE CLOSE TO YOU AND TO ...GET THIS.....STAY WITH YOU FOREVER AND EVER. EVEN when you are 100 years old and dying, this being will be next to you if you let it get out of the mirror.... trust me.
you will know it is trying to get out of the mirror, because the mirror will start getting kind of dragged about in the water by some mysterious force, IT WILL START TO FLAIL AROUND.
this is when you must pull that mirror clean out of the water WITHOUT BREAKING IT.
IF IT BREAKS ...YOU HAVE JUST GOT YOURSELF A NEW MATE...THAT IS WHY I STRESS THE WHOLE SET UP HAS TO BE VERY STRONG.
it may be difficult to get the mirror out of the water, but if you run off and leave it in the water. the thing will still come out and believe me it will catch you in 100th of a second.
the thing to know is, this being will be like a dark dull mass, something you have never seen before, and if you run it will run after you and it will always be just nearly getting you. it does this because it knows that by being close to you, that vibrant display ( your fear is at a max)
it will also be attracted to anger or laughter.
if it does get out and come after you, just sit still and it will also be still, laugh and it will come close, be scarred and it will come close.
basically just accept it. if it comes out you have just got yourself the closest friend you will ever have.
know this though....
it has absolutely nothing in common with you, it does not have dna or genetics, it does not talk or smell or see, as you or i do.
it is capable of many things, things you or i cannot comprehend, things that are unknown to us and thing that are UNKNOWABLE TO US.
MAYBE YOU WILL WORK OUT A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION WITH THIS THING, using your will, but that is all, and maybe the thing will take you places and do things that are not of our world with you.
the mirror acts as a window to another plane so to speak. a plane where everything and i mean everything we know as human beings is totally meaningless.
this is the truth...so only do this if you are one of those people who says.....its all bullshit.

I've had objects which I'm 100% positive were in a certain place disappear without a trace, only to reappear elsewhere hours or days later in places they had no way of getting to.

You knocked your false teeth out of the glass while you were having fevered dreams of kidiots and their ilk scoffing at you and ruining &Ts legacy

You're probably just senile and severely schizophrenic.

Demons try to take over my body while I sleep. It is very hard and exhausting to fight them off.
-
No. The items actually disappeared into some other dimension or different time, then came back later elsewhere. 100% confirmed.
-
100% confirmed.
100% is a strong figure. Please elaborate.

Never actually saw anything para normal but maybe 6 years ago I was showering at my friends step fathers house. So after drying off and getting dressed I go to open the door only the knob won't move, even after I use both hands still nothing.
I go something like "haha, really fucking funny guys", assuming it's my friends fucking with me, after I attempt it again it opens right up, my friends aren't even in the house but outside drinking on the front porch, no clue what it was.
Too confused at the time to really think about it , it freaks me out now.
