Please post it here and we'll do our best to fix/add/remove it for you. Some of the more controversial things (like a Thanks system) will require a vote though before we can decide whether or not to add them and some things are already being worked on at the moment.

The quotes are pretty annoying. We need thanks, or similar (nothing with "downvotes" please, keep it positive!). Threads should have a "view first unread" link so you're not looking all over for the new posts you've missed out on. We really need our smilies, especially the kitties (ALL of them. If you find kitty smilies obnoxious you're probably dead inside). There aren't enough people posting... place feels kinda dead and maybe not worth hanging around for. Mods seem to be over-moderating. Half Baked on totse was always an unmoderated forum, not counting big stuff like cp.
Dunno what else.

There's a link labeled "Show new replies to your posts.", next to your avatar up at the top that's pretty similar. If you're looking for user child pronography you'll have to talk to spectral though.

I said it once and I'll say it again: Turn off nested quotes. That is all.
Maybe that would be nice, but you have to admit it's kinda frivolous. You can still edit out all the extra nested quotes if you want. The effort it takes to do that is practically negligible.
I bet you won't be able to read this without highlighting it. Is there some way to change this? I know I bitched about this before...

My biggest complaint so far, is you are actually considering this whole Thanks/Rep idea and wavering on your initial thoughts in what is listed in the FAQ. Your initial gut reaction is NOT wrong, so don't succumb to a handful of people whining about needing some e-validation by such a cheap and cheesy concept. All it does is encourage lesser quality posting and clique-ish nonsense, NOT edgy and informational discourse.
People can go all over the internet to other places for their thanks/likes...this is one of the few places any more that is different, don't fall prey to these weak arguments by mostly weak people that this issue is so desperately "needed". Seriously, if someone actually stops posting or feels their Sanctuary experience is actually "lessened" because of the lack of a Thanks button, exactly what kind of quality poster or person were they to begin with?
Like you said in the FAQ...
I have seen a whole lot of rep systems in my time on the 'netz and all of them have been retarded. A normal rep system where it keeps a total of all the rep you earned leads to reputation spam. A thanks system where it only keeps track of the thanks given to each post is hardly better.
What it leads to is friends upvoting each other just because they're friends, funny posts getting thanked instead of the more smart and thoughtful posts, posts getting upvoted because it tells people what they want to hear instead of what they should be hearing, and posts deserving of upvotes not getting them simply because they're on the last page of posts and some users TL;DRing all posts past the first or second pages. Not to mention the small amounts of drama it causes when someone gets a lot of or all the upvotes and another doesn't, no matter how intelligent or well they conduct themselves simply because of something that happened in the past and people are holding a grudge...
All of those thoughts are STILL very much on point. Just go back to all the other failed forums like Zoklet, and witness the "quality" of poster that usually leads the Thanks count. Do you really want a website filled with a bunch of Viziers, or are you shooting for something much bigger and brighter than that???

I'm with DaGuru on this one. It was nice having over a thousand thanks on zoklet, but I don't think the system did the site too many favours in terms of content. I seem to recall a lot of shitposts getting thanked.

And how do you see one or even a few idiots ruining a system that does nothing but boost ego's and should represent a good post? Will you cry if an idiot spam thanked your posts? It doesn't matter if the post is actually good, because there's no global list of thanked posts that you can look up on if interested. And even on zoklet the thanked options was mostly just used to see your own thanked posts. Nobody will die if a useless posts gets thanked! And it doesn't stop good posts from getting thanked either. I never went through someone elses thanked posts and even if i did, i would quickly switch back if i found them to be crap. My day doesn't end. Hell i wouldn't even get bothered the slightest. If you have a problem with crappy posts getting thanked ( which by the way comes down to the individual's taste ), and a few kidiots playing around thanking themselves with alts, then i suggest you move.
Obviously though, there are countermeassures to ensure people can't thank without having made a specific amount of posts/threads. Its just a matter of what system we're going for.

That IS the whole point though, the kind of user you are trying to attract by enabling such a thing. Why do you want to base a community on the people that need/desire any kind of "thanks" for their contribution? If people really need that kind of bell or whistle to validate their opinion or knowledge, then chances are they shouldn't even be in an adult forum like this to begin with.
Why would someone "need" to be agreed with if their perception is valid? That was a core part of the culture of Totse, people that didn't give a fuck about being accepted or fitting into mainstream thinking. Shouldn't their own life experiences and attitudes be enough to want to contribute? If not, then truly this kind of discourse is NOT the place for them.
Its like when you were in first grade and got an "A" on a paper, you were so thrilled getting that star or sticker along with the grade. I would think that HOPEFULLY the kind of people we want posting and attracting to these forums have grown up well beyond that kind of need/high/validation over something that is so useless in the grand scheme of things.

Its a retarded "checks and balances" system thats basicallu a circlejerk but its a good way of promoting and guaging how topics resonate within people. There is no harm in such a system because no one really cares about the social implications because people use that to act on behalf of no one but themselves until it reaches a "tipping point" like you see in reddit where a dumb topic will have thousands of upvotes because fags deem it "important." No problem. You'll also need to select the checkboxes beside the threads that already have notification enabled and Un-notify them, which is possible in the same notification options area.

If a user is banned, can it change their user rank/title to 'Banned?' Currently, it does not change and there is no indication whether a user is banned unless you go to their profile, and I'm not sure if that shows up for everyone else. Thanks bro.

I never fucked up as a mod anywhere, and I've never been demodded even once after modding several mainstream BBS sites. I quit them all after the admins of those places fucked up royally and refused to correct their fuckups. Your information and accusations are bogus, as usual, kid.
