True Crime Thread
« on: September 04, 2014, 05:30:19 am »
I have a pretty good head on my shoulders but in the dark recesses of my mind I have a huge interest in true crime/serial killers. I think majority of people have a fascination with the "who, what, why" with major crimes, their motives (or lackthere-of) and perpetrators.

I'm watching a series on Netflix called "Crimes of the Century" with news footage and investigation info on  some notorious crimes like the DC sniper, OJ, etc.

What cases have caught your attention and why? I remember following the Casey Anthony case like a hawk when it transpired and enjoyed reading and watching documentaries on Jim Jones and Jonestown. Actually, I don't think I have ever come across a case that hasn't peaked my interest.

John Wayne Gacey for the sheer reason the psychoanalysts couldn't diagnose what was wrong with him. He shared little in common with most serial killers apart from his unsatiable lust to kill. He was also a very confident person that could have done anything with his life had he not chosen the wrong path.

I couldn't stop laughing watching a documentary on him. When interviewed he demanded a lie detector test, adamant he would pass.

He failed.....
