a goat is better.  they give meat and milk, the same as a cow, but they take up much less space.  their growth rate and reproductive habits are much faster, and the most important trait of all is they can be legally termed 'pets' when the local code enforcement decides to stick their noses where they dont belong.

Why is the op so long? Let me revise it for you

What to do before you buy a pet cow.

1.) Step back and think, it's a fucking cow.

still want a cow? proceed to step 2

2.) Slap yourself!

There's more reason to buy a cow than not

Free milk...healthier than the hormone laced shit at the grocery. ..and when you get tired of it you can invite it to dinner as the main course

you can also sell the milk you don't drink in turn making the cow pay for its self so you can buy another cow and some chickens you'll be rolling in dough in no time and if you ever need extra money you can invite IS round to....

Chickens are cheap. (See what I did there? ) they're only a couple of dollars each if you buy them commercially and even cheaper (again...) if you have a rooster to make free baby chickens. Then u could sell them and make money on the babys

Round to...?

Also, sheep are great especially if you are too lazy to mow the lawn. Sheep graze versus the goats who are browsers and eat anything that they can reach.

I wonder how many of you know a cow or goat needs to be pregnant to produce milk...

Just FFT.

Generally yes, yes they do. Dairy cows are almost perpetually pregnant. But hey, veal.
I'll try anything once, and twice to be sure.

Who could complain about veal?
