Hopefully this won't be as long winded as it is in my head.
I see a lot of threads of people wanting to make money, small amounts.
Well, here we go.
I'm going to try and list most of the ways I have avoided having to get a real job for over 6 years. You won't ever get rich doing this shit, but it will keep you stocked up on pop-tarts and beer.
1.) Pick up change. This one may seem a bit silly, but really, you see pennies, nickles, dimes, all over the place, but rarely do I see most people pick them up. Don't be too proud to stoop down in the crosswalk to grab that penny. That shit adds up. Get a big water jug, and put it in there. Save it for a rainy day, or when you really need a beer.
2.) Recycle. Pretty much the same as number 1. Carry a backpack with you, and a grocery bag (plastic). When you see a can, bottle, pick it up. Not only are you doing a good thing by helping to clean up the environment, but cans are worth almost $2 a pound here in CA. When you are bored, sitting at home watching asian ass porn, go for a walk down any street. There is usually a pound or two of cans along a mile long street.
3.) Invest. Oh yeah. When you have an extra $20-30 laying around, consider buying an ounce of silver, or something. If you look at silver prices over the last year, shit is going way up. Search sites like CL and ebay for people selling silver coins and such below spot price. Also stay up to date on the price of silver. If the market keeps going well, and you are able to find some good deals, you can pull in some good money depending on the size of your hoard. Granted you have to sell it to get that money, but you'd be surprised at the amount of businesses that will let you buy shit with silver. I have been known to purchase beer and smokes, at local stores with silver, when I had no cash. All you have to do is ask. Not to mention chicks dig it when they come over, and see silver coins and shit laying everywhere, makes your broke ass that much sexier.
4.) Work for websites like oDesk.com or Amazon's Mechanical Turk (mturk.com). I have covered this one pretty well I think, in this thread.
http://www.totse.info/bbs/showthread.php?t=59375.) Do real work. For yourself I mean, physical labor is something most people HATE doing. Most will pay good money to not have to do it. Ask around, friends, family, someone knows someone, that needs help with something. Weeding is a big one, people hate doing it. I have made $300 in 2 days pulling weeds. Try to bid by the job, and then bust your ass to get it done quickly, not only are the people more likely to find other work for you and recommend you to friends, but you maximize you money that way. You live in a snowy area? Go door to door and shovel driveways in the morning, before people go to work. Offer to do it for $10, a LOT of people will tip extra. This is the best way. Yeah it seems more like real work, but you won't feel that way when you have a pocket full of cash a stomach full of beer, and you make your own hours. Makes working for someone else a lot easier.
6.) Not really a way to MAKE money. More of a way to keep it. Pretty simple. STOP BUYING SHIT YOU DON'T NEED. Nothing I can't stand more than people always complaining how they are broke, or they don't make enough. Well maybe if you didn't spend all your money of shit you don't need, and likely will only use 1 time, you'd have more money to spend on the better things in life. Like travelling to a far off place. Do you really need 10 pairs of shoes?
Stop driving/get a bike. This isn't always an option depending on where you live, but for 99% of the population it is. I assure you, with a bit of practice you will have no problem riding 30 miles to town in a decent amount of time.
Stop smoking/drinking, add up how much you spend on smokes and beer in a week, now times that times some arbitrary number, now put a minus sign in front of it. That's what it does to your health. Knock it off, not only will you be able to ride your bike to town, but you'll have money to spend when you get there.
Well I hope this gave some of you an idea of where to start. There are literally hundreds of thousands of ways to make a buck. Get creative. If you think it's a dumbass idea, chances are others do to, look at it as you all ready having the market cornered, learn to sell it.
