If I ever saw a bunch of incompetent mods together on a forum, it was on zoklet. Mods should be knowledgeable. Mods should be able to take distance from internet drama, and shouldn't encourage the kind of posting that drives people away. Mastering ctrl C and V from wikipedia to zoklet, posting a oneliner in every SG and PEOO thread isn't mod behavior in my opinion. Infractions were more than often a joke, and nepotism has been a large cause of decline of the site. A Flemish proverb says 'soft healers, stinking wounds', which is something I tend to link to zoklet. Each and every tard there had multiple accounts, was allowed to keep posting utter shit week after week, had infractions reversed multiple times, and was allowed to do pretty much whatever he/she wanted to do, everywhere, all the time.

I'm more than likely not the first, but I predict a massive amount of cocksucking by certain zoklet staff on whatever site zoklet will migrate to. It'd be nice to have a site with some traffic, but I'd prefer content over shitposting any day. Zoklet was mostly drama and a bunch of tards trying too hard (TDR and rowan making four thousand posts about Snoopy's bald wife, for example) with very little actual discussion outside the specialized fora, it'd be nice to have all of that gone forever, or at least taken care of in a mature way. Better no posts than shitposts, something -Spectral and Daguru tend to say in a few thousand words per post.

Hopefully Arnox will use his common sense and (if needed) appoint decent people. I don't give a fuck if someone is online 24/7, this alone does not make one a good mod. Authorities on certain subjects is what you need, people who are humble and above drama and bullshit. Zoklet had preciously few, I sure hope this place does better.

As for the cocksuckers trying to get a new staff position here, I really don't think we have to worry much about that. In just a week's time Sanctuary's staff has already shown they are reasonable, humble, AND willing to put some effort and most importantly THOUGHT into all of this. They've already "done" more in barely a week, than the entire staff did at Zoklet in 5+ years. Granted, in time they may need extra hands they can trust as this userbase grows, but it seems to me at this point they have the attitude and foresight to put the right people in the right positions without having agendas and the need for personal validation.

What's even better, is has anyone else noticed that with LESS moderation, it does seem the quality of conversation is better?
