What difference would it have made if he had said he was a fed or if he didn't? It ain't shit for someone to make an alt account, let alone someone with enough intellect to get into a federal law enforcement body. It wouldn't have made it any harder to monitor traffic on the website.

SkyGear is not a cop/fed/Etc. SOme shit had me concerned and I jumped the gun on calling it. We've spoke and I can say shit is on the level.

The "why" of his actions is not my concern. Just his actual actions as moderator.  He begged to get modded, time and time again. We relented, and got let down.  Really let down, and at the worst possible time.
