On the subject of women being fucking demons I went to the British Museum a few days ago, to an exhibition of artwork depicting witches and witchcraft over the last 500 years. Two visual themes were strongly apparent; the old withered hag types with unnaturally masculine features, or that of the voluptous, often snake-entwined, temptress. What struck me just as much was the complete absence of any serious reference to warlocks, i.e. male witches. It put the exhibition into a rather patriarchal context. Guess there was no market for round snake-entwined male buttocks back in the day, culturally or politically.
Well... there probably was, but you could get a hot poker up the arse for that kind of thing back in merry ol' England.
