I have, and I have also experienced a lot of bullshit. 

Basically, what you are saying is, we can expect an announcement later today, or maybe tomorrow....The announcement potentially could read like this:

'We have decided to make this a forum that will be full of knowledge and 'quality posts'.  To this end, we have decided that we are no longer a 'free speech' forum, we want to go in a different direction'.

So what's stopping arnox from arbitrarily deciding to 'change course'? and then folks like me who primarily advocate extreme free speech, well, we are welcome to go somewhere else I guess.

I don't want to speak for Arnox, but from what I've seen from him over the past 5 years, he has a lot of drive and aspiration.  As much as a community wants an admin to be god-like, he's admitted that we are all learning this together.  One of the things I like about him is that he is fluid.  Yes, he has a vision for how he would like things to be, but he is taking careful consideration to what you guys are saying.  You may not be able to see his passion, but it is there.  When things were going south for the other sites, he said that he looked high and low for an appropriate substitute, but as you all have also seen, there isn't one.  Not for how we think and how we express ourselves.

I'm not sure what you're wanting at the moment, but I guarantee you a snap decision is not it.

You see, if someone's already seen and responded to a derailing, the damage is already done. Removing posts en masse that were responding to the derailing isn't going to help the issue either. The best that can be done as a mod is to infract the person who started it all and move on. Also, it's not that hard at all to bring a conversation back on topic anyway. Great point. No transparency. They could have had the discussion right on the forum in-thread and everyone could have contributed their opinions on their comments. Zoklet did the same thing. The most important conversations were always performed in secret. But look what that got them in the end, eh? An empty forum.
