I've also heard in time that the body can only physically absorb a certain amount of nutrients that are found within these vitamins and the rest just passes on through.. Not entirely clear on the factual nature of that statement though. What concerns me about vitamins is the possibility for the placebo effect.. I often find it hard to believe that some of these multivitamins actually contain all the nutrients they let on.. Could be my per usual paranoia about near anything that's mass manufactured.. quality eventually slips.
I do feel that if given the choice, I'd rather have and eat fruit and other foods to get the necessary nutrients I need.. Except Sea Salt and fish Oil, because.. not big on most sea food.
