What don't you understand about them?

The question is, what don't you guys understand about them?  On one hand, your rules state that alts are not prohibited, and it is recommended (it says 'should') that one get permission.  On the other hand, you and your moderators act as if alts are prohibited, and that 'punishments' will be handed out if one doesn't follow the 'recommendations', which are apparently mandatory, although I do not see that anywhere in the rules.

I don't appreciate the insinuations you have been making, that 'I will go and make an incredibly obvious alt' and that I ever even implied that anyone was a tranny (except hc45), totalitarian, or a terrible mod.  None of these things are true.

Honestly that line in the rules seems pretty clear to me.  Maybe it's something we should consider changing if it's too ambiguous I guess.

Wait a sec....I don't understand the sudden intense urgency in regards to alts? Where was all the strict adherence to rules about alts when UnbreakableMatter was going through alts at a ridiculous pace? Until he left a day or so ago, he went through an army of alts, and usually it was obvious within the first couple of posts. He didn't even try to hide it either....but there wasn't this serious attitude about him.Why?

Cats/Niglet was light years ahead of Unstable in regards to posting quality. Unstable was a repetitive spammer, pretty much posting just to stir up shit and flame people out of boredom. He literally (see what I did there?) made sport of going through alts, yet you never ever froze any of his accounts, especially the original one.

Why let a proven worthless kidiot post with impunity with alts....but when one of the better posters on here does it, its as serious as if the sky is falling?

And please don't respond with anything even close to...."we didn't know about his alts, why didn't anyone tell us"....because that will only prove how little you are paying attention to what people were doing here.

Yes because they used means to mask their IP's.  I guess the lesson here is, if you want an alt, use a VPN or something like that, and don't openly announce yourself, then you can avoid 'punishment'.

So a guy that loudly and proudly talks about "being on house arrest, living at mom's, and going to university".....with every fuckin alt wasn't "substantial", when that IS who Unstable/Unbreakable was? It was obvious in his posting style as well, his use of "literally" in every other sentence, along with his bold declarations of being the greatest poster ever and how bored he was.

How about this at least....if you are going to take all the effort of PLAYING GAMES with Cats/Niglet...then at least take the effort to "freeze" the Unstable account, because in the latest alt he used he even proudly referred to his original nick. Or do I have to point that thread out to you as well?....

While alt accounts aren't expressly prohibited, if I find someone who has such, I may just slip up and "accidentally" make some small little changes to their accounts. (yes, plural) To make sure these mistakes don't happen, all alt accounts should be approved by me or another admin.

But as punishment, I'm not going to make any changes. Instead, I think I'm going to leave it up to equanimity. She'll the decide the, uh... Makeover of your accounts. The changes will be temporary but for a rather long time...
