Arnox is a Totse 2 baby that never visited and of the serious discussion forums and had no idea what was going on outside of HB and a few masturbatory threads in GPP who had no idea what a good mod was back then when he was modded on that site then DE MODDED cause he couldn't handle his shit then RE MODDED when the site was going down the tubes and he begged his way back on the staff

Please feel free to dispute the inconsistencies and mind you I was a mod at the time and got to see and hrar all of your begging to be made a mod again. I was also witness first hand at your inability to comprehend or be a part of multiple threads on any subforum with real informational discussion.

Much is lost in translation with language.  Always...

This is only true if one is unable to fully articulate their statement.  In such a situation, one can always qualify the language used by pointing out the intent behind the words.

Can you provide me some examples about what you're even talking about?  It's easier to talk specifics.

No it isn't necessarily easier, but there is a time and place to talk specifics.  Now is not one of them, because bogging the argument down further by dicing it to pieces will do no good here.  But because I am high, I will, off the top of my head, provide two statements and we can compare them.

Me: 'I don't want to be rude and tell you to shut the fuck up, but...shut the fuck up'

You:  'We are all one with the rivers and the plants and the earth and the universe'

Now, which statement is unclear, and full of assumptions, and has elements that are 'lost in translation'?  Certainly not mine.

Well, personally, I thought the part where you said I never contributed to the "serious" forums ever was pretty good stuff. But either way, I think I'm done feeding you for the day. Go find something else to do.

Well I surely would amend my statement if it were not true I remember quite well how you got laughed out of multiple discussions on the In the woods forum W&C and even some of your own GPP threads for posting BS and generally not doing any research of topics you wrote on.

But as usual you dismiss your criticisms with your typical high horse attitude but it's ok I know you can't refute most of them so go ahead and try to play it off to this crowd as "trolling" you're a joke

This is my religious belief.  Much of who we are, what we understand, and wish to express is lost in the translation from mind to speech.  In many ways we can never really know a person.  Even if we share a belief, our understanding of and relationship to that belief will be different.  Our own subjective experiences are the only experiences we can verify.  That's not to say that you don't exist except in my mind, just that our realities are sort of irreconcilably separated in this way.  We'll find our way back together again in the end, and it will be beautiful, but that is probably a loooong ways off.

Both of them.  Mine was kind of facetious and I'm actually surprised you didn't pick up on that haha.  It's fun to laugh at yourself from time to time :)

The best mods are the ones that, even though they're raging underneath, even though they're incredibly depressed or are feeling betrayed or perhaps even all of that, do not let it interfere in any way with the responsibility that they have. You also may not believe it but people do look up to the site staff as an example, even if it's only subconsciously. As such, they need to be a good example. Is it a tragedy that they let their anger show sometimes? No, but that leads into my second point.

Part of my job is deciding from among the userbase who would be a good mod. Who would be a good leader. And right now, I don't have very much to go off of when it comes to the Zoklet crowd. So, I have to make a decision with what sparse information I have or think I have. I have to analyze everything. And no matter who this equan person may have been in the past, during her time here, I have noticed that she has been active, nice, intelligent, easy-going, and hasn't ever flown off the handle at anyone here at all. I have discussed this with my staff and they have all agreed with me.

So with that in mind, when you guys tell me that this person is one of the most unfit people for modding, I think you'll understand me when I say that it's a little unbelievable to hear considering what I've seen so far.

I'm glad you brought out the "leadership" aspect as a requisite of being a mod, because it was always my belief mods should also be good if not great contributors most of the time when they do post. Since the entire purpose to a message board is to share information, give helpful advice, or at least give a thought provoking opinion....one would hope people that are modded have those necessary attributes.

But in Zek's case, exactly WHERE is all of that? 90% of the time his contribution(?) to a topic is some milquetoast one-liner, and usually its just emotional feel good tripe. Oh sure occasionally he'll make some comment about eating whatever food or "weapons are bad m'kay"....but you NEVER see Zek put up a paragraph or two of much of anything that is informative or thought provoking. Even as despised as I am because of my hard hitting truths about certain members....when I do post about regular topics at the end of the day I can give a sound, informative, and thought provoking opinion...even if you don't agree with it. But Zek comes out with nothing more than grade school babble, with a very simplistic mindset that doesn't show much of an adult outlook much less displaying any "leadership" quality.

Also, I would like to ask....you keep making this grandiose statement of..."this and this makes the BEST kind of moderator". Besides Zek or anyone else on Sanctuary staff, could you please give a couple of finite examples of past "best" moderators in your mind? Knowing you are unfamiliar with Zoklet, go back to Totse if you have to. Because in my mind, the "best ever" on Totse were Jackketch, Slave of the Beast, Arms Merchant, Angry Femme, and Spectral. ALL of these people displayed wonderful leadership qualities, had loads of entertaining contributions, but still had EMOTIONS in play....and could kick ass and takes names when they had to (with or without this dreaded "anger" directing their moderating abilities).

None of them came off as steady robots like you claim is an ideal quality, so I'm very curious to know some of the people you respected as being the "best" moderators you've seen in action.

Don't just ignore this one, yo.
who's the judge of if its funny and or clever? the mods. period.

I don't believe this for a second, because there when you made the original statement, there was no humorous subtext going on.  You were 100% serious as a heart attack.

Your description of lost in translation sounds a lot more like an autism spectrum disorder of not being able to differentiate social cues and norms

Well I was being 100% serious too!  But I made myself smile writing that, knowing how ridiculous you would find it.

You know, I just wanna set this all aside for a second and ask you one thing. Why are you so dead set on trying to convince me that equan is a bad mod considering that if she really does start modding unfairly, she'll be demoted right away? If she really is as bad as you say then it's only a matter of time, right?

2 reasons. The first being picking apart your own logic in regards to your decision in modding Zek. I'm not really trying to convince you of anything....instead point out the conflict between what you discuss in "theory" versus the actual practical application of those theories. As I said, you talk about "leadership", but Zek hasn't shown any of those traits. And you also talk about "professionalism", and Zek hasn't shown any of that either. Lastly, you talk about vague ideologies of what makes "the best moderators"....but won't produce finite examples of people you respected as  moderator in the past.

Second reason is my own ego in all of his. Because WHEN (not if) this all does play out exactly as myself and several others have described to you...it will just add further delight and whimsy to this whole farcical chapter of Sanctuary's history. Kinda like Babe Ruth calling his shots before he blasts one over the fence, my prophecy/expectations in all of this ARE that certain.

It's been forever since I've taken any philosophy, but this is an issue of epistemology.
