I had some tonight, either not doing enough or getting the wrong kind... usually buy seven 75g bags but tonight only got six. Still something buzzy but nothing too intense. I've been getting it from a big name chain grocery store and they work 7/10 times, nothing crazy though. Funny enough, I bought the same amount from a higher-end cooking store and those didn't work a single bit. Next stop is the organic bulk store which has *ORGANIC* plastered all over their seed bags. That sounds like my best bet.

I personally find that bulk, non brand seeds are most effective. Hoyts also work fine, at least in Australia. I wouldn't touch anything organic or gourmet, since they are expensive, usually spiced with something else and probably the least active. I would recommend that someone who isn't opiate naive buy at least half a kilo. Empty a large plastic soda bottle, funnel the seeds into it, fill with cold tap water, shake for 3-5 minutes, loosen lid, strain out, repeat 1 or 2 more times depending on how desperate you are. It never hurts to potentate, but given the cost /strength ratio of the drug (when done properly) it's probably overkill unless you have a large tolerance.

I tend to mix it with cordial, and sip it slowly over the night. I think that taking it that way makes it much more of a session that you can do socially if they are into it, plus it means that I am usually more inclined to do stuff while I am slowly getting high over a few hours.

I dunno why I am even talking about this. The more people who do it, the more likely it gets media or government attention. I am going to be pissed off if they ever control or outlaw it.

I think you're okay to talk about it as long as you're not advertising all over the Internet a particular brand. Bob's Red Mill has apparently fallen victim to this kind of treatment - was once (and could still be) the go-to brand for unwashed seeds until tea drinkers all over the Internet made it obvious that that's what they were using the seeds for. Now the company apparently takes more care in washing the seeds.

As for your recipe, that's exactly what I do. So easy anybody could do it. The only drawback is frequently going to the grocery store and buying nothing but 6+ bags of poppy seeds and a 2L bottle of soda. Nobody's said anything so far though I'm sure people have wondered.

If anyone ever asks I tell them I am doing a collage with them as an art project, or if I see them frequently that my roommate is a baker and he has a late night commission. You don't need to say shit to a cashier though. Given the bizarre shit people buy at supermarkets, you would hope they have a policy of discretion.

Yeah it doesn't seem like they'd be in a position to question you and even if they do it wouldn't be hard to come up with some bullshit. You could literally say anything except that you're making tea with it and that should be enough.

Well, if they know what it is, it's probably cause they are looking up how to get high anyways. The guy we buy bulk from is totally aware that we are getting high. He want's us to show him how to do it. It is nice not to live a lie anymore.
