In the intense emotional situations the OP describes I think it would be less likely; het' men obviously have no sexual attraction to each other, from which a physical relation can evolve from an emotional one. That of course does not preclude the possibility.

Since it is acceptable for gay men to have intimate feelings and relations with each other, is it still possible for them to have bromances? I should probably define bromance here so we're all on the same page: Bromance - Those relationships you often see between men who serve together in a military capacity, the deep connection gang members are constantly talking about, that sibling like trust, respect and adoration women cannot experience or understand.

Nonetheless, I still can't forsee any real possibility that homosexuals couldnt share the same qualities to meet the requirements of the definition. I mean sure, if you want to assume the basis of the male homosexual community on it's stereotype (often portrayed as men who exhibit stereotype femenistic qualities).. Then I would have difficulty seeing them exhibit what has been definied as a "Bromance". However, some gay dudes appear and partake in all similar stereotypical activities of straight men, besides the fact they either give or take a dude in the ass. Just want to point out, that I'm not assuming you are basing your opinion on what I just said.. It's just the only way I can try and wrap my head around the conversation and try to make sense..

You misunderstand. Gay sterotypes aside, men who 'love' each other on that level - don't you think if the sexual boundaries weren't there (as they aren't with gay men) that such a friendship would naturally progress into a romantic/physical one? Hence the question - Is it possible to bro love without love loving between the bros?

But I've thought about it and I actually think it is possible but only AFTER they've fucked the shit out of eachother's cornholes and decide to date other people and out of respect for their new perspective partners - refrain from occasional butt fucking of eachother (until they break up or have a little upset of course)

 So I'm just going to throw this out there because it seems obvious now.. don't know why I didnt think of it before.

 Here's the breakdown.. There is 2 Brothers... one is gay... I think that situation counts, as being family shouldn't disqualify the notion of a Bromance.
