The Official Counterfeit Money Thread

This is for educational purposes only. Anything about counterfeit money please ask away but remember that actually doing it is against the law.

If one was to create it what type of thin enough paper would be used to glue together and not be over or lower weight & still feel like real money?

You're not going to be able to laminate pieces of paper together and get something that feels like a proper note. Most play money, they tumble the fakes in a dryer with poker chips to beat them up a little. It's easier for them to make play money that looks and feels well worn then play money that is crisp and new.

How do you print on both sides of the paper eventually? Haven't  been able to get my prop money to center. One side is always off.

I think they make printers fuck that up on purpose. Hell, half the time mine prints so far off that even with a 1/4" margin it drops shit off the page.

Both Arthur Williams and Albert Talton used newsprint. It is thin enough to be glued together with both the watermark and strip inbetween. The feel is a problem, but you can use certain sprays to mimic the feel of real money which is made of fabric and not paper. You have to be a real artist to get it right. I suggest reading up on both Art Williams(The Art of Making Money) and whatever you can find on Talton. P.S. fuck any feds checking me out.

...about printing both sides...seriously??? If you can't figure this out by your lonesome, then you should not be thinking about counterfeiting. You are one of those dumbass high school kids the SS hates going after. I will accept questions about the watermark, the type of paper, the color-shifting ink, intaglio, and other security features, but inkjet printing? My hush puppy could figure that out, and she really is a stupid bitch.
