So fucking ridiculous. Then again, maybe we all needed this wake up call. Most people spend most of their days with little regarding to the world other than posting selfies on facebook and wondering if that selfish bitch Tonia is hooking up with Chantells man.. haha, yea I made that up but I liked the way it sounded..
It's also funny because when I first heard of the second nurse having tested positive and learned she had been on a plane.. my thought processes went into overload.
-Nurse has Ebola.. gets on plane
- Every person that sits where she sat, unless they clean those seats with bleach or something.. potentially will contract Ebola
- So.. now we learn the plane made what.. 26 flights after that woman was on board.. let's estimate that between 5-50 people could now be infected (5 because its possible the bulk germs could be potentially carried off with each passenger, or the seats being cleaned.. 50 because idk how hardy Ebola is and it could have been transmitted to people around her, if she used the restroom while on the plane, she touched the overhead compartment.. door handles.. fuck, considering she was in an airport, potentially hundreds of people are potentially at risk)
- Now consider that it takes about 3 weeks for the symptoms of Ebola to show... that's a lot of time that a large amount of people could be continuously spreading the disease while being completely unaware.. to their co-workers.. to their families and children.. These kids are going to school, obviously sharing germs with other kids (we all know how fast a stomach bug or flu can go around)..
All things considered.. depending on just how transmittable this is.. we could already be fucked. And the scary part is.. it's not a joke, it could be the stone cold reality of things.
