Cannabis can kind of kill a creative streak if I happen to be on one, it works well with musical projects though. I don't think stimulants are the way to go either unless you've already got the vision for what you want to create, then perspire away. For me it's an almost acute overdose of caffeine and kratom.

Heh, I spent 12 hours last night writing songs on a speed session. I definitely agree with the other guy that stimulants are more useful for developing an already existing idea though, although they can be fantastic for performing.
