I've literally read articles about YOUTUBE FUCKING COMMENTS. SERIOUSLY. This is not a first year soc students 500 word essay, this is a fucking publication that people are supposed to read and trust. The front page of it right now (.ca) literally has Harper kissing Merkel with the headline KISS OF DEATH in huge print. Do you know how important layout and pagesetting is to newspapers? More important than the articles, studies have shown. Having MASSIVE FUCKING EMOTION GRABBING HEADLINES is for fucking "zines" not a fucking media source. HOW MUCH FUCKING OPINION IS IN THERE TOO? Look at it. Just look at the fucking paper, I dare you. Do you see how many factless "articles" are written as opinion pieces that overshadow the "actual news" ones? Jesus fucking christ, it's actually worrisome that people read that shit.

Ariana Huffington made a newspaper with HER FUCKING NAME IN IT specifically to promote her slanted, goofy, factually devoid views and sold it for 200 million, laughing all the way to the bank.

It's basically for clueless, out of touch people who still want to think they have a clue what's going on. A recent article was about how profitable unionizing and incentivizing fucking burger employees can be and pointed to "burger shack" iirc who have such universally extrapolated locations like Upper West Side Manhattan, Dubai, Moscow, etc. PEOPLE READ THIS NEWSPAPER AND THINK THE THINGS THEY PRINT ARE TRUE and it infuriates me. I read "the economist" more than anything because you can tell their rhetoric articles (typically anti-russian bloc) pretty easily by the lack of facts and cringey titles, other than that there's some REALLY GOOD info in them, they're the only mag I actually buy, probably bought 15-20 so far this year, mostly for the wonderful Putin photoshops I might make a collage out of. If you want to read left wing (I don't even know what that means and if anyone else says they do they're a liar, read "a conflict of visions" by Sowell) stuff read "mintpressnews" which reports interesting, actual factual stories and keeps the opinion pieces hidden from the real ones. It's editor iirc is a muslim girl, lol would still bang who really dislikes most muslim things. They're kinda "war is bad" but they can back it up because their not the cockstuffington post
