I don't listen much to rap, so I can't comment. I mostly like Death Grips because they are strongly musically orientated, like in terms of having actual musical progressions in their song rather than a repetitive sample to rant over.
who's the judge of if its funny and or clever? the mods. period.

GP is my favorite albums of theirs but I don't think "strong song progression" is really something we can count in its favor. Exmilitary has some song progression, but really every release has become progressively more homogeneous (which I'm not convinced is a bad thing).
