E3 2014
« on: June 10, 2014, 04:15:47 am »
Here's some of what I think were the highlights today of this year's show.

Looks like an awesome replacement for Vaas.

Full awesome crashing and arcade driving mixed in with every type of vehicle imaginable and big open maps? Yes, please.

INB4 'u like it because dragons.'

Nah. Looks like something unique. Also made by the same guys who made Bayonetta and Vanquish, the latter which I loved for the awesome third-person shooter gameplay. So that's cool. Could also really suck though. Who knows?

I've actually been really interested in this game ever since its first trailer. This one really solidified my liking it though. Hopefully it can deliver on the promises they've given. It seems a tall order.

This one looks like Resident Evil circa Victorian London. And it definitely looks interesting from my morbid point of view. Other than that though, I have no idea. I'll have to watch this one.

And finally, we get the HD collection to end all HD collections, courtesy of 343 and Saber Interactive. What's especially exciting about this collection are actually five fold.

1. Multiplayer as it was when the games first debuted will ship with the games fully intact INCLUDING online multiplayer. Yes, that means you can now actually play Halo: CE on Live with none of that lookalike Halo: Reach multiplayer nonsense they tied in with CE Annivesary.

2. Halo 2 Anniversary will be released with this pack.

3. All games in the pack will come with ALL of their DLC maps as well.

4. All games will be installed and played on one disk. Each game can be easily and quickly switched to at any time. All features that were in past games will make it in the MC Collection.

5. Access to the Halo 5 multiplayer beta is included with all this.

The only bad thing about this collection is that Reach will not be included in it in any way. I'm only just a little disappointed about this at worst. The only thing I really loved about Reach was its customizable Firefight and some of its Forge features so it's no great loss for me at all.

And there you have it. Discuss this years E3 right here. What did you like about? What are you looking forward to? What don't you like about it? And etc.

Info about Bloodborne was leaked ealier on in the year under the name Project Beast. People have speculated that it's going to be more like Dark Souls set in Victorian times, but afaik there hasn't been a scrap of gameplay footage released or leaked yet so your guess is as good as anyone's.
