Man this post makes me realize just how spoiled we are here in houston. The starting wage at this company is 16.00 an hr and all the overtime you want. Even the most basic idiot mexicans who don't speak a word of english are making bank sitting on their asses pressing a couple of buttons. You can easily be making 100k+ a year under your own company after a couple of years in the industry. Oil n' Gas FTW.

Thanks for the link. I found an ad for $18.25/hr +OT, two weeks on, one week off. The only problem is that I would have to move over to Willinston, North Dakota but you get free housing. It's a ways from where I live in Minnesota and North Dakota just sounds awfully boring. I'm tempted to apply for the money. I haven't been able to get a job over here that pays over $8.25.
I don't understand how anyone could be willing to work for $11.55/hr, but congrats anyway.

Glad to help, just make sure if you make a big commitment (like moving, quitting another job, etc) that you have it in writing. North Dakota was booming a few years ago, but I think it's calmed down a little bit now. If they are offering housing then look into it though. Thats the biggest thing out there right now from what I've heard, is finding a place to stay. I guess its normal for like 6 people to cram into a hotel 6 room, not from lack of money, from lack of housing.
These 7.25-8.55 an hr jobs are what I like to call high school jobs. Where they're not too serious and are mainly just for you to have some extra money. The oil and gas jobs listed on there are career jobs, meaning a whole lot different kind of work from retail/warehouse. I'm not trying to discourage you from coming into the field, but just think it over before making a big life decision like this.
