Willing to suck your DICK my HDD is corrupted

My HDD got corrupted and I can't boot to windows, everytime it shows the loading screen to Windows 7, the PC restarts. I can't restore to a previous time because it gives me some retarded error. I got in CMD prompt through the system recovery shit and am in the process of formatting it. Will I be able to install windows again and my HDD will work fine for the time being?

Depends on if the drive is physically fucked up, or just got data corrupted. If there are too many bad sectors, the heads are crashing, controller going out, or any other mechanical/electronic issue then no- wiping and reinstalling fresh isn't going to help in the long run.

Should run FDISK through the system install CD to dump the partition and remake it.

Well I'm not sure, but i am pretty sure what caused it. My PC tends to freeze from overheating, perhaps always turning it off and on by holding down the button (usually happens 1-3 times a day) probably corrupted it. What is fdisk

[General Fault]

Would be a good idea to track down the cause of overheating and shutdowns. I highly recommend pulling the CPU cooler off, cleaning with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and cotton swabs, letting dry, then applying new thermal compound. I usually apply a small gob about the size of a pea in the middle then dab it all over the top of the CPU die with my finger so it's evenly coated. You don't want it so thick it squeezes out from under the cooler, just enough to coat the interface between parts. Then reseat the cooler properly. Also make sure the North Bridge cooler is properly seated and if it has a fan, that it is operating.

FDISK http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fdiskis a DOS (system) based utility that is used to partition hard drive space. In this instance, you would remove the existing partition definition (which will wipe all data), then set up a new partition. The installer may just do it for you if you tell it to wipe the existing drive on install.

Is it a laptop? Those fans can get gummed up really easy. Same with a desktop I guess, but less of problem and easier to clean. If its a laptop you will have to take the fucker apart, spraying duster at the fans wont remove a solid lump of dust, cigarette tar, and cannabis resin and god know what else.
