Battlefield Hardline gameplay
« on: June 10, 2014, 07:51:21 am »

The beta was released yesterday. To me, this looks disappointing as fuck and has all the symptoms of being forced into an annual release cycle by EA. It looks just like BF4 and being PC footage, there should be something in this clip visually that makes me say "wow", but there's nothing here except new game modes and undoubtedly fucked with weapons that'll take 8 months to balance again.

Sounds like EA and Activision really are starting to fail badly.

They have been since like 2011.
You don't have to be a student of Sun Tzu to realize that going face-down ass-up for a bunch of paedo's is a bad move for a number of reasons. I hope the final dimming embers of Totse aren't finally extinguished by a few kiddie-fiddlers. Even death by furries would be better than that.

The original idea after Medal of Honor 2010 was that there would be a cycle of a MoH game one year and a BF game the next with each game getting a full two years of support and content. This resulted in BF3 getting two years of support and being an excellent balanced game with lots of content at the end of it, but unfortunately the two MoH games did terribly and the franchise was publicly killed off.

Because of EA's determination to release a AAA fps annually to compete with CoD, we've now got this mess where BF games are going to be released annually by different developers presenting variations of an increasingly restrictive theme. Clearly EA didn't notice that MoH sold poorly because it was a shitty CoD clone  ;D
